Worst online shopping experience ever. I bought 2 (Light gray) Linen Fabric Accent Armchair Chair Sofa Cafe Seats.
Very poor craftsmanship. Holes are drilled on wrong places. Some holes are half drilled and screw can not pass through. Back cushion is bigger in size than the lower one so can not fit in between chair arms. Hence, can not be assembled. Useless pieces of wood for me. I have also attached the pictures so defects can be seen clearly. I wanted to return the chairs and when contacted the seller and showed the pictures, instead of accepting the return and refund, they started silly offers. First they asked me to accept £5! I paid £119.98 for those 2 chairs. Every morning I receive a message in which they increase the refund amount. (It's gone up to £40 now :) . I am just asking them to take their chairs back and refund my money. But they keep doing silly offers. I contacted Onbuy, there customer service agent did not bothered to read my message and sent me a copy paste reply to wait 72 hours for the seller to contact you. I am in contact with the seller since 27th August. Now I am going to try my luck with PayPal to get refund. Otherwise I will make a complaint to Financial Ombudsman / consumer court. Fortunately got enough time and money to take this to Happy Ending! Moral of the story "Avoid them"”
“What we got was not what the advert showed. Also battery charger was not a British plug. Response from seller was buy a converter, no offer to send us one. When we asked to return the item, we got an address in Scotland and then when questioned, got an address in Cornwall. The company was Fly. Absolute rubbish. This drill was also supposed to be 36v and there was nothing on any of it to confirm this. Very,very disappointed. Will not return it as no valid address and don't think we'd see a penny of the money we spent. Will never use Onbuy again.”

“It’s a scam. Fake electrical goods that when you challenge you have to go through the seller (not onbuy) to refund and they never respond.
If you’re really committed to buying here (I wouldn’t recommend it) - do it through a PayPal account so you can use them to get a refund if needed.

“i ordered a panoxyl face wash from here to clear up acne i am very insecure about. i heard this was a really good product so i bought it from this website as this is one of the only websites that offer this product in the uk. i was so excited when it came but when i opened it up and had a further look the bottle was half full and i could very clearly tell this was a fake lookalike. this is VERY dangerous and can be harmful to skin as the ingredients are untrue on the bottle. this can cause very serious problems. i got a chemical burn from this product. i have tried contacting customer service although i haven’t heard anything. i would like a refund. don’t bother with this store.”

“By far the worst experience I have ever had with an online site and I frequently buy online. I bought a mini waffle maker which within seconds of plugging in burst into flames. Thankfully I had a fire blanket as my young son and I got such a fright and it was raging out of control very quickly. I have sent numerous messages to one buy clearly stating i want a refund and not to send another one, to which they keep offering to send me a new one. They then finally agreed to refund but then nothing. When I chased my refund we are now back to them repeatedly offering to send me another waffle maker. I couldn’t be more clearer that I don’t want it or trust it so I can only guess they are trying to frustrate me and hope I stop trying. Importantly this product is very dangerous and should be removed from sale and investigated but they are still selling it! What does that say about them. Avoid at all costs. I have reported to PayPal and they will follow up with them.”

However after having problems with the phone I was advised to contact seller directly and resolve the problem as the phone was still under warranty. I contacted the seller and returned the phone for repair / replacement. It has been more than 6 weeks that I am left without any phone and when I contacted OnBuy to help me out as my phone is still not returned; their response was that sorry they can't help. Now I have lost more than £450 and left helpless. Do NOT trust this site as they won't help you if there is problem with the purchase.”
