“I am very happy and please with the entire experience from the first call to the closing date. This experience if you don't want to deal with a real estate agent is the best way to go. Zoom your house, next day someone came out took pictures. I had an offer within an hour and was pleased”

“Their initial offer is to get your hopes up. Then they come in and low ball the first offer. And claim the house house needs a lot of work. They told me over 30,000.00 worth of work. I have a new kitchen, new floors , brand new A/C new paint inside and out. They prey on people who are in a desperate situation. Don't know how they sleep at night. Only reason I considered them was my buyer backed out of sale at last minute. And I figured let's try Open Door.”

“The experience was great with opendoor at first. When it came to closing you have to be out at 11:59 pm the day before the actual close date. This is in the contract but I dont know how they get around state laws for that. We ended up staying until 6 am the next morning but they did say it could delay closing. The only other big issue I have is the repair cost estimate. We sold the house and 2 weeks later its on the market for 32k more and which I don't mind at all. I just know they didn't spend what there repair cost estimate was based on the pictures. I also remember the agent telling me if the repairs came in lower its possible we might get money back. It's after closing now so I don't see that happening. The one other thing was we left our electric on and when I called they said if you could please leave it on until day 3 after closing to give it time to transfer. I called back after the weekend and no transfer was in process and they said I should have canceled it right away. In closing I think if you call the customer service number there not as knowledgeable as there expert so make sure you talk to that person at all times if they're available. I don't think I will be using them again.”

“This company is horrendous. They will not offer a fair price for your home and then will gouge you at every turn. Exorbitant “convenience fees” and they seem to have a standard of quoting $30,000 in repairs, even when none are needed. They don’t even do a five minute assessment of your home and come up with this number. When you submit work and upgrades you’ve done, they do not review it and will list the very thing you’ve upgraded in the breakdown of “repair” costs. For example, we put in two brand new AC units and they listed on the “repairs” both units need replaced. They are not interested in anything but trying to give you as little money as possible. They are predatory hoping people will accept out of desperation. Trying to work with them or get a quote from them will be an absolute waste of your time. Once all the fees are accounted for (and they will of course try to take even more out of your offer in further walk through) you will be offered $150k+ below market value for your home. The cherry on top is that nearly everyone who works there seems to be incompetent. They are so inept they cannot review certified documentation of repairs and etc. that have been submitted. They most certainly do not care about you and your needs and their sole goal is to take the most advantage of you that they can. Please do not waste your time with these unethical, greedy, robbers. Avoid them at all costs. I’ve had better offers from independent Ibuyers and investors. (I’ve had three independent Ibuyers offer $120k more than opendoor. No fees and they pay closing costs.) Please do your research and do not allow this greed infested company to rob you of the money you deserve for your home and your life.”

“I have NOTHING but good things to say about my experience of selling my house to OpenDoor. Stefan Stobbs from OpenDoor was professional, patient, prompt, and guided me throughout the whole process. I chose OpenDoor because of several reasons. I did not want to go through the traditional house selling (hiring realtor, fixing/updating my house, showing etc), and I needed the proceed from selling my house fast to be used for the closing cost for my new house. Being able to control the closing date is very important and crucial. I also used the late checkout option because I needed the extra time for the closing on the new house, and also extra time to move. The closing company that was chosen my OpenDoor also did a very good job. I am a prime example of a 100% satisfied with OpenDoor as a seller. I would recommend OpenDoor to anyone who does not want to go through the pain of dealing with realtor, fixing/updating, showing, etc., to sell your house...and, being able to have the cash in hand plus the late checkout.”

“I had been wanting to move for a while, but always procrastinated with the excuse that I wanted to renovate the entire home before I left in order to raise its equity. Before I knew it, the plan to move in a few months turned into several years and I was becoming complacent. Somehow, I stumbled across an ad for OpenDoor and I decided to give it a chance. So glad I did! The process was extremely easy. After the zoom call walk-through with the agent, my closing date had been determined and I had roughly 90 days to vacate the home. Putting a time limit on things was all the motivation I needed! But most importantly, OpenDoor was very fair with their offer on my home! It was exactly what I was hoping for! Then after clearing out the home, the virtual closing was quite easy and by the end of the day, the title company had wired my funds to my bank account. If I ever sell a home again, OpenDoor will be my absolute first choice!”
