I have been waiting for 11 months now to be refunded by Opodo for a flight the airline (KLM/Delta) canceled (about 250 USD). No matter how many e-mails I send to claim the refund I always get the same response "As we have already requested refund to the airline as soon as we are getting any update from the airline will update you the same ." When I turn directly to the airline they reorient me to Opodo.

Appalling! Booked with Opodo, including their cover for Flexible Travel dates. Have just spent to whole evening trying to contact them to rearrange my flight as covered by the Flexible cover. Am informed on their website that this can only be done by calling them. Attempted to call (22 times in total). The calls are simply dropped. Got on their 'chat' facility, which gives you Kris, a bot. Eventually get past him to a 'human' agent, who can only tell me to ring the same number I've already rung. He says the call centre is not authorised to rearrange flights. He does give me a link to complaint to. I go to that link which, guess what, links me back to Kris, the bot! Obviously, there is no email and, as other reviewers have said, the system is clearly designed to block and frustrate anyone seeking refunds etc. I've no choice but to book my own alternative flight separately. Any attempt to recover the cost from Opodo will be similarly blocked and frustrated. My advice is that you avoid Opodo at all costs. Meanwhile, I will be (a) reporting them to the FSO (UK) for mis-selling a financial product (their Flexible Travel product) and (b) submitting an online Money Claim for the reimbursement of my additional flight costs. Its a simple legal process for small money claims, to which companies are legally obliged to respond. That usually makes them just pay up!

They could not give me a refund for a COVID induced cancelled flight. Also failed to respond to several emails. A dodgy agent it appears

1 hour on hold via phone. They don’t do what they say, for example, free cancellation at any time and I haven’t got any refund yet. Rude staff. My flight should be on 1st july, today is 22nd july and still waiting for agent review about my changing dates of flight.

I had the misfortune to contact the Opodo Call Centre to modify my flight arrangements recently. The person who answered my call did not satisfy my expectation of politeness and I found it difficult to hear him above the overheard shouting and noise in the background from other members of staff. Clearly Management supervision is either lackadaisical or lacking altogether. Whatever the reason, it gave an amateurish impression which Opodo needs to address if it wishes to retain Customer loyalty. I was placed on lengthy hold on two occasions and my enquiry was a basic matter. Heaven help anyone who has a difficult enquiry. Opodo needs to up it’s game significantly by ensuring staff receive adequate training in systems operation and Customer interaction.

I booked flights for myself and 4 family members in January this year. I went through Skyscanner and had hoped to book with Travelup, who I have used previously and found excellent and very reliable. The flights were from London to Livingstone (Zambia) via Johannesburg {outward} and from Lilongwe, Malawi to London, via Johannesburg {return} Travelup had no availability left, so used Opodo. One ticket was for a child, aged 14; when I printed off the paperwork for the booking after paying, I found that (1) Opodo had charged a booking fee of £103.66 extra (there was no mention of any booking fees while I was going through the online booking process), (2) in the payment section was the note: Please note: if your booking includes passengers between 12 and 15 years old at the time of travel you may be eligible for a partial tax refund. When I began the online booking I entered the information that there were 4 adults and 1 child passenger. Opodo had charged for 5 adults, thus I paid air passenger duty for 5 passengers even though one was a child. The child air passenger duty was abolished several years ago. I tried several times to contact Opodo to ask for a refund of this extra tax paid. I had no success getting through to anyone at Opodo. Finally I managed on online chat session (with the conversation showing on the screen) and was told I couldn't be given any refund before the flights. We would have to take the trip, use the flights, then apply for the refund afterwards (later in August). I had so much trouble contacting Opodo and getting any help or response that I do not now feel it is worthwhile pursuing a claim of refund for air passenger duty for the 14 year old member of our family. Also, information on the website indicated I would have to pay a charge to Opodo for handling the request for a refund. I will never use this company again. I feel they are dishonest in the way they conduct business. Once they have got the payment they make it almost impossible to contact them again and you only find out about the added 'service charge' after you have sent payment. They have sent lots of e-mails offering discounts from future bookings with them, but I would never use them again. (It would have cost me less if I had booked directly with the airline!!)

I'm just bored of all the promotion emails, a continuous stream of messages intended to drive traffic, which offer discounts with conditions that only a tiny percentage of customers could possibly meet. Want £30 off? Only if you spend £600 on flights and a hotel with us! - Sorry, no.

i was happy that they offered cheap ticket, but later realized i didn't really get cheap ticket when i received credit card bill .They used very high exchange rate. In the end, I paid about same amount with the ticket directly buy from airline

Bought a flight ticket via opodo prime from Berlin to Barcelona - package flight & hotel. Checked separately and was not any cheaper. Furthermore we also paid for baggage. When we checked in was told we had no baggage allowance and was required to pay on the spot €108. On arrival we called Opodo 3 times (3days) and each time they said it was sorted. The 2nd time the person said will call us back but no return call. We called a third time before checking in online & was assured all sorted. On arrival at airport airline confirmed Oporto did not pay for any baggage. So again we had to pay €50 for baggage. Yes what a scam !! Now trying to get Opodo online to sort out refund is a joke!! We should have an avenue to complain to the authorities about this company to enforce the service provided or to refund.

I left my bag on a flight in Aukland in February so had to cancel all my cards and obtain new ones. Opodo have just taken a membership fee from my account, even though I cancelled it, using my new card number. How did they get my card number?? I certainly never gave it them. I have disputed the matter with my bank

PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE A SCAM TRAVELLING AGENCY AND WILL AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR A SUBSCRIPTION THAT WILL HAVE YOU PAYING A NON REFUNDABLE £60 OR MORE MONTHLY WITHOUT ANY PRIOR REMINDER. THEY ALSO HAVE VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THROUGH ON ANY OF THEIR COMMITMENTS. I HAVE NOW CHECKED AND THEY HAVE MULTIPLE BAD REVIEWS AND I DONT KNOW WHY SUCH A COMPANY IS ALLOWED TO EXIST. I HOPE THEY CLOSE THEM DOWN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED, SHOULD YOU USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT INFORM YOU OF THEIR ONGOING MEMBERSHIP, UNTIL AFTER YOU PURCHASED FROM THEM. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR BANK DETAILS THEIR MEMBERSHIP IS DEDUCTED ON A MONTHLY BASIS THEREAFTER. SURPRISE! SURPRISE!!

I was scammed by this company along with many others. They offer you a cheap flight but two weeks after you book, they deduct a $100 claiming you signed up for their membership. They refuse to refund you the full amount, only 50%.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

The Opodo company dealed with Transavia an airport flight from Paris to Amsterdam in Oct.2022. The flight was cancelled without exuse and Transavia refunded the money to the agent Opodo without any possitive of negative answer from thwm to my claims. They answered to me by the robotic sms dialogue wich is completely ironic to the customer. Unacceptable !

Opodo is a total scam Don’t book through them Even when they offer deals you end up paying more cause some of the deals are fake I had a return flight from Marrakesh to Munich which turned out to be fake. They just take your money and run

I booked a flight to France with 'Flexibility' package that stated I could change the date of the flight. However, after trying to change the time, they just say that there was an issue with the change, and that they tried to contact me via phone (which they certainly didn't do) and there's nothing I can do about it. I fear the tickets are not even real. I will likely try to claim something back through consumer centre.

AVOID OPODO!!! I FEEL ROBBED because after I purchased my flight ticket on 11/04/2024 for 170.64 which so far was reasonable but on the very next day 12/04/2024 from my bank account has been taken ANOTHER 69.99 (from OPODO again, for "some reason") and WITHOUT MY AWARENESS.. (otherwise I would not purchase the above ticket) I AM NEVER GOING TO OPODO AGAIN! VERY DISAPPOINTING!
