Opodo charged my credit card almost €80 for a membership I never agreed or signed for. They are criminals, this is how they make their money. Only after I wrote a bad review they contacted me promising they would refund the money within 15 days. Needless to say I have been waiting for the money for over a month and every time I send them an email I get back the same automated email with the steps I need to do in order for them to reimburse the money they took without any permission. Please be very careful and don‘t book anything with Opodo. They scam and they steal your money!

Avoid this company. Never again. Booked flight and after one month they charged me for the Prime membership 69.99 . Where I never agreed to purchase this membership. Avoid

We have booked a trip through them and never received an invoice or receipt. We have been asking for that for two weeks and nothing! they have charged our card with a fee without telling us and they keep on asking for 24 hours to send the invoice! Stay away! Date of experience: 26 April 2023

I had an unpleasant experience booking domestic flights in Thailand through Opodo. I purchased a flexible ticket with Vietjet, but upon check-out, I discovered that the ticket had the wrong date. Opodo's customer service was unhelpful and instructed me to contact Vietjet directly. Unfortunately, I learned that changes to the ticket were only allowed within 60 days of purchase and no other modifications were permitted. Dealing with Opodo's customer service was frustrating, and I had to reach out to Vietjet on my own to request changes. In the end, I had to cancel the ticket without a refund and spent a significant amount of time resolving the issue. I would not recommend using Opodo for flight bookings.

unbelievable! they sold us a flight (charged a fee for that), our flight got cancelled by the airline - airline told us to seek full refund from Opodo - Opodo said the airline never "refunded them" and couldn't confirm the cancellation. And now they just ghost us ... really avoid using podo at all cost - I learned my lesson - i will pay a bit more to buy flight direct from airline and not route through "agents" like Opodo.... what do you get from them... SERVICE? just injustice!!

Pay for a ticket and get the itinerary from the airline. Alright. Then an email arrives from Opodo, "please verify yr ticket using this email address," which has your name but the wrong address. Curious. Then notice that it was paid for with visa ending - not yours. Reread their email and wonder why "edreams" is mentioned. Unless you enjoy giving money to crims, don't do it.

The worst third party ever! Do not deal with them‼️‼️ When I checked the flight it was £50 for 2 people from Budapest to the UK. When I clicked "buy", it took me to their website, where they changed the price, ‼️without notifying me about the change‼️..., that's how I got charged over £110 for the exact tickets. I called them to cancel and get a full refund. Aris Baba and Satyam Kumar tried to help, but they could not because of their disgraceful policy. They told me to call the company I am flying with, although I called them, I knew they couldn't give me a refund...because it wasn't them who charged me in the first place. Please do not deal with them, because they are scammers and what they do to people is unacceptable and disgusting!

Avoid at all costs, i have booked with opodo in January. But received an email of my return tickets have been cancelled, called for an explanation. I was given NOTHING, just it is cancelled and a refund that will take up to one month. Left us without return tickets and we cannot find any everything is booked up. They have put us through immense stress and disappointment. Avoid using them, no help at all from customer service.

The price of the flight was competitive, but as soon as I added on luggage they were more expensive than the airline direct - on looking into it carefully, they charge almost double for luggage, and that's with the cost of Prime added to it. Really disappointed.

I have been waiting for 11 months now to be refunded by Opodo for a flight the airline (KLM/Delta) canceled (about 250 USD). No matter how many e-mails I send to claim the refund I always get the same response "As we have already requested refund to the airline as soon as we are getting any update from the airline will update you the same ." When I turn directly to the airline they reorient me to Opodo.

Booked flights and return leg was cancelled in May 2022. Booking status is 'refunded' but I haven't been refunded and am still pursuing £600+ in flight costs. Next step is small claims court, HQ is in Hammersmith London, although parent company eDreams HQ is in Spain. I'm interested to see if I get a standard meaningless apologetic response from Opodo, or if somebody actually looks at my case. Booking reference 8876883233

Wenn es darauf ankommt, lässt Opodo einen im Stich. Ich wollte beispielsweise einen Flug stornieren. Die App hat hier leider immer nur eine weiße leere Seite geladen. Ich heute mich dann an die Fluggesellschaft gewandt. Diese meinte, dass eine Erstattung kein Problem sei, aber von Opodo initiiert werden müsste. Kontakt zu Opodo aufzunehmen ist sehr schwierig und überhaupt nicht kundenfreundlich gemacht. Also ich es geschafft hatte, wollte man mir nicht weiterhelfen und speiste mich mit vorgefertigten Satzbausteinen ab. Null Kundenorientierung und das eigentlich erstattbare Geld ist weg!

Worse company never recommend very bad money stolen company. Opoda stolen two time my money 2021 I booked ticket with opoda and when Arrived airport they no let me fly but I same time Opodo and air line and keep calling all day and night but they told me we I can’t refund your money and I lost £750 and customer service very bad no cooperative at all And now February 2023 I again booked tickets and they no refund prime money and they took more money from my card as shown on ticket price they are not honest company never ever use again and no recommend any one Be away from this company better book with direct air line they cheaper then this fake opoda . They got me with the sneaky subscription charge, 55 euro basically for nothing. Wasn't clear at all when booking that they would do that. (probably hidden in some small print) Will never use them again!

Flight cancelled by airline... Opodo doesn't even know about it. Instead they do everything they can to keep the money they were reimbursed by the airline and pass you from one stupid chatbot to another terrible email support. I've never in my life seen such fraudulent business practices. Obviously their goal is to annoy the customer for so long until they give up. My advice: Don't give up and keep on pursuing your case, because that's the only language they seem to understand. And if you haven't had the amazing Opodo experience yet, don't book with them in the first place! You're better off paying directly with the air carrier, even if it costs a couple of bucks more.

Avoid this company like the plague. I booked return direct flights for 2 from Newcastle to Antalya. 3 days later the airline changed the flight to indirect with stops at Birmingham causing additional 3 hours on flights. I contacted opodo and stated I was not happy with this and would like to cancel. They told me I had to get in touch with the airline to cancel myself but if the airline said I could have a full refund they would give me a full refund of £449.72. I contacted the airline the following day who agreed to cancel and full refund and sent me an email to that effect. I then contacted opodo again and sent them the email from the airline. Opodo said they would refund my full costs but it could take up to 30days. 3 days later I received an email from opodo saying they had received the refund from the airline and would issue me a refund of £377. I called them again to be told that was all they were prepared to refund me but to fill out a complaint form to have them resolve it. I filled out the form and emailed it to them yesterday and received a reply this afternoon stating they would not be refunding their charges only the airlines, I have attached their reply below and will be seeking advice from trading standards. I have never dealt with a more unscrupulous company ever. Dear Customer, First of all, we would like to thank you for contacting Opodo and apologize for the delay in our reply. Your Opodo booking number: 11225484651 We are sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience with us and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Regarding a refund of the service fee of your booking, we would like to remind you that, according to our general terms and conditions, the service fee is a non-refundable part of the payment. The service fees are charged for the mediation services provided by Opodo, which are deemed to have been fulfilled upon confirmation of the booking. As a result, we are unable to issue a refund of the fees. We hope you understand that the fees are non-refundable. For further questions we are happy to help you.
