“I had lasik eye surgery and now no longer have to wear corrective lenses or glasses. The procedure was a little uncomfortable and the first week was a little trying but that was the be expected and at this point (1 month later) I can say I regret nothing. My vision is clearer than when I used to wear glasses and my eyes are pretty much back to normal. Basically... I'm happy with my experience”

“I could tell that things were going well from the second I stood up from the laser surgery. My eyesight (although a little hazy and light sensitive) was already very very good! I had expected a lot of healing to be necessary before I saw the improvements. By the time I did my 24-hour checkup, I was reading the bottom lines on the eye charts! Today, at my 1 month checkup - I've got 2 lines better than 20/20 vision (20/10)! 1 bit of advice... always get someone to drive you home from the surgery. I got the train home from London, and the light sensitivity and tears made it an uncomfortable journey (sitting in a car with your eyes closed would be much better)... but after just a few hours nap, my eyes were generally quite comfortable. After 2 days, they were completely comfortable. and after a month, they're almost fully healed.”

“Apart from some slight discomfort on the evening of the surgery it has been both pain and hassle free and I now have great vision that has made a huge difference to my everyday life. I have had a great experience at the store and with all of the staff I have encountered. I'm very glad that I had the surgery done.”

“i had lazer eye surgery 2 years ago this month and i have never looked back. It has changed my life so much for the better. Beforehand i got to the stage i was dependent on my glasses for everything and still have difficulty reading small print (telephone directory etc) I no longer need glasses at all which is absolutely amazing. The professional attitude from all Optical Express staff has been fantastic and i never had any worries with regards approaching them for advice etc. Thank you for a great experience. Ann (Bangor)”

“After having measles badly at five I was very short sighted. I had the standard NHS pink glasses with curly ear bits and really hated them, refusing to wear them. When old enough I had contact lens which were OK for many years but then about two years ago I kept getting eye infections and soreness which resulted in having to attend the eye hospital. I was forced into wearing the hated glasses again. I went to find out about having laser surgery nearly a year ago and haven't looked back. The staff at Optical Express have been very caring, helpful and informative. they have been extremely thorough in their care. It is great to no longer have to depend on glasses/contact lens. I have not had any trouble with eye infections since the treatment either.”

“I never liked how i looked with glasses, i was teased at school and i lost all of my self-esteem. i knew that i could go 2 ways, i could have contact lenses or lazer eye surgery. i put off the surgery as i was scared and i thought i couldnt afford it. i was wrong. when i had the surgery it was painless, quick and i was made comfortable throughout the whole process. it was also affordable as i had it on finance which made it so much easier for me to have the surgery done as soon as i could. i am glad i had it done and i do not regret any part of it.”

“after having surgery my difference in sight is very noticeably better i can now read all small text at a distance without glasses. makes things so much easier when not having to wear glasses for sport and working on engines. wud reccomend optical express to anyone as the customer service was exceptional and very in formal.”

“How you imagine the surgery will feel is nothing like how it actually does feel to have it done. The idea is pretty horrific, the actuall reality of it is a walk in the park. Regardless of what the surgeon or your friends say, you can't imagine it being as painless, as easy and as comfortable as it actually is to have it done.”

Laser eye surgery is fantastic, it had built my confidence and I am amazed at the great improvement to my vision. “Before receiving the treatment I was a little apprehensive about it and some of my friends had said that they were worried about the treatment and thety thought tha I shouldn't get the treatment as it could "go wrong". However I went ahead with it and I couldn't be more pleased. Although I don't participate in any vigourous excercise; and others who don't wear glasses may say I didn't need to havethe treatment done, for me it has definitely been a good choice. Wearing glasses or contact lenses is a bit of a hassle and people who don't wear glasses have no way of understanding that it's the little things that really matter and annoy you when wearing glasses. Now that I don't need to wear them, life is just so much simpler. The treatment was simple and quick and the staff were always more than helpful and cheerful. I would definitely recommend it to someone else.”
