About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Order was apparently stuck with PayPal. Once I followed up with OE it got processed and paid for, but the order did not get filled until I followed up. When I attended the shop to pick it up, it took over an hour to get the item. Service was certainly not with a smile. Took over a month to get the item.

Had to chase up on item the delivery was not good it sat in brisbane for 2 weeks until I had to chase it up and didn’t get to speak with person it was a machine you have to deal with not good service

My Awning was delivered damaged, it has taken weeks for the replacement awning to arrive and I'm still waiting. They offered me $100 refund to keep the damaged awning as well

well, i've been trying to return something for weeks now. sent 2 messages via the 'contact us' form. Then tried calling the number on the website only to be on hold for ages so opted for the call back option. Never got a call back. Then I sent an email to the email address connected to the returns link on the website and as yet no reply. pretty terrible service if you ask me.

Shocking service, did not answer the phone or emailed. Waited around a month to only end up getting 1 of my products and paid express shipping for nothing!

Got a product that was faulty and they didn't exept it back bc it was out of the 30 day return, so it took 14 days to arrive and then had for like 2-3 weeks, but I also wasn't driving the car during that time so I didn't actually know that it was faulty, when I used it next it didn't work and they won't except it back. And overall i just had a bad experience with them and wouldn't recommend using them again.

Paid for express postage and it took 7 days. Called to ask for explanation and manager didn’t care and still blamed Covid. Would not recommend them. Very poor customer service.

Ordered item on 5th of April was told it would be express shipped and should arrive within 3 business days fast forward to today 12th of may and i has finally been delivered. Will not order from here again

Two weeks ago I was told my order would arrive in 'the next few days'. It was not listed as a backorder on the website, so I (incorrectly) assumed that it was in stock. A week later on inquiring where the order was as I hadn't received it, I was once again told it would be here in 'a few days'. Another week has passed and still nothing. That's 21 days now since placing the order and I have nothing. I'm going camping this weekend without the item, which I bought specifically for this trip. I live about 30km from the store, so the delivery should have taken only a day or two. This was my first and LAST experience with Outback Equipment. I'll NEVER BUY from them again. Worst service I've experienced from a 4x4 seller in 30 years of purchasing equipment.

Ordered parts and new they would take a while but every time I call to get an update no answer using the business number still waiting on parts that I hav not received

Rang to confirm stock availability before placing the order. Was told everything I needed was in stock. 8 days later and the items still haven't been dispatched so I phone to find the items were not in stock at Outback Equipment or their supplier and there was no ETA. I cancelled my order and finally got a refund about 2 weeks later after lodging a complaint with Office of Fair Trading

I purchased a $35 1/2" 1 way valve to use in a crankcase breather on a motorcycle engine. It needs to freeflow 1 way... This valve does not & is completely useless to me. I've sent several emails about this but it's clear nobody cares. Thanks for your money now get lost.... not our problem....
