“Just got an email from them saying I didn't get the parcel weighed correctly. But I checked the size and weight of the parcel many times before I sent it. The parcel was sent in April. That's 2 months ago! They charged me the extra payment (£23.14) using my original payment method without my consent!! Looks like they can take whatever amount they like from your bank. They are deeply dishonest. Stay away from this company!!”
“never collected parcel from home so had to drive it to UPS point, then as they had not supplied digital invoices it was stuck in US customs warehouse for days & they added surcharge for ‘residential address … it wasn’t.
Been going back & forth for ages with Customer service, who do not appear to understand, be able to speak to couriers or other members of their team, or able to provide any help at all! When initially contacted them was told I needed to rebook it & still no one can tell me why it was cancelled.
Did manage to get an incorrect surcharge refunded but still do not know why they did not collect or provide ‘digital invoices’ - have lost faith that they have the resources to provide services they are promising”

They said that my parcel was either over weight or the measurements were wrong. I over estimated both because I wanted to ensure my daughter's Birthday present reached her in Australia without delay. When I challenged it, they asked for photographic evidence of me weighing and measuring it with the labels on it. Absolute scammers.”

“Over a month ago we have booked collection of 4 parcels to be delivered to one of our customers in France (3 to his main site and one to another site, about 100km away). Three parcels have been delivered within 7 days without any problems, the other one booked separately as the address was different, never arrived to its destination. Both services have been booked via Parcel Compare service, we are registered with them for international deliveries. After contacting Customer Service with question where this parcel is, the tracking info wasn’t too clear, we were informed that parcel is due to be returned to us as the customs charges and duties have to be paid by customer. This isn’t correct as parcel contained all necessary paperwork, what’s more this wasn’t our first time when we sell goods to French customers. Every email we got from Parcel Compare Customer services contained different reason for this failed delivery. Every time I proved that their answer was wrong they gave me different reason. Conversation with them is still ongoing and today after nearly two months, parcel neither arrived to customer in France or back to us. Parcel Compare is not willing to solve this constantly giving us some strange reasons, we cannot be blamed for their services not being adjusted to post Brexit trade reality, and customer services lack of knowledge about it. Now they have charged us for the return saying:

The company did not entertain offering any compensation even though we purchased the additional 'parcel protect'. Complete fraudsters and not sure how they are able to get away with carrying out business. Will be complaining to trading standards as they need to cease trading.”
“Like others on here, gave measurements / weight as supplied by manufacturer. Given quote of £31. Via UPS. Over a week after delivery, bank sent me notice Parcelcompare were taking another £68 on behalf of UPs. The invoice, explaining why, didn’t arrive until 2 hours later, by which time they had taken the payment, which said the charge was for ‘oversize’. Trying to open an online dispute is a nightmare. The courier has cost me more than the item. Will never use these again as it seems common practice to ‘after-charge’ anything they can.”

“Where to start? We were charged what we thought was a fair price for shipping a piece of furniture. Item was picked up and taken to shipping facility. Weight was within 2 kg of described weight. 2 days later, the item was delivered back to us, and Parcelcompare unilaterally took £120.00 out of our account for "Large Parcel Surcharge". so we essentially paid over £180.00 to have a package picked up, weighed and returned to us!!! No amount of correspondence can get the Parcecompare agent to understand the issue. They continually get us to try and dispute the weight which in my view would give them an out to refunding our charges. We will never use these scammers ever again. Wish I could give less than 1 star!!!”
“I used this company to send documents to Canada. When making the booking it generated label and declared that as it was documents no further customs paperwork would be needed. I tried to drop it to a drop off location for courier and they couldn’t accept because it apparently needed 3 copies of commercial invoices which I did not have obviously. I then arranged collection instead and item was collected then I received an email from courier to say missing invoice causing delay. Parcel Compare were useless in helping. Would never use them again and don’t advise anyone to. Better to do direct with the courier company.”

My parcel took 10 days to arrive at it's final destination and UPS damaged it. It travelled up and down the M6 daily (sometimes twice a day) while they tried to send it back to the sender (me) who didn't want it, and wanted it to continue back to the receiver damaged or otherwise as it was not mine to keep!!
Parcel Compare were of no help when this was going on at all only replying to 2 emails.
However, once UPS had delivered the (now damaged) parcel I have heard from them almost daily demanding the princely sum of £14 for being oversized (an amount I had already paid on the original invoice), apparently because I asked for it to be resent I have to pay this again..... but not the cost of the delivery again.
I have tried to explain to numerous people that I no longer have contact with the recipient so cannot get photos of the damage (I had asked UPS to provide them but they didn't) but they have been insistent that I do so so they can make a claim for the damage which I have explained that I don't want to do, I just don't see that I should be paying further money for what has become a complete nightmare.
You can't speak to anyone on the phone and it is down to the customer service representative if they allow you to speak with a manager or not (they decided that I was not worthy). The different departments do not speak to each other so you have to repeat yourself and there is no way of sending a direct email so you can include more that one person.
I have had a complete nightmare over the past 5 weeks, they have no concern or care for their customers at all, I have wasted more hours that I care to calculate on this and this has caused me more stress than anyone needs.
Like others have said, I wish I had read the reviews before ever entering into an agreement with his bunch of greedy boys with their bullying tactics.”
“We booked a return delivery via UPS through Parcel Compare. I’m a qualified tradesman and accurately measured my parcels. Paid £165 for it to be delivered 160 miles. A week later we get an invoice for £2206 !!!!! for surcharges saying we were oversized. Total fabrication. I even have photos , evidence from the company I bought from. Their packages are always the same size and they send hundreds of these packages out daily. My measurements said 126 cm, Parcel Compare have said they were 294cm !!
Totally impossible. They are now threatening to take us to court unless we pay. Absolute bullying at the highest level. Please do not use this company EVER, you will seriously regret it.”
“A carefully weighed consignment, properly packaged. I was quoted £50.55 via UPS, and once delivered, a further payment lo £54.42 taken from my account before I was notified! Allegedly the consignment was over 20kg heavier than I had stated. If that was the case I would not have been able to carry the thing out to the collection truck. Nothing I can do, apparently! Absolutely no help from Parcelcompare. I suggest the reader of this feedback look elsewhere.”
