“I went onto the website to send a parcel all seem ok until after i paid, i managed to get the customs label but no labels for the parcel which i found out that if you dont have the labels they will not collect, i spent about 2 hours trying to get lables, only to get messgaes back to say we dont know that customs label, can we have proof of postage, i sent that and nor reply, then they said the sire was down try a few days later, i have asked about 6 times could thay please send the app so i can get the lables, they dont answer the e-mails now, this is a disgrace i am going to the trading Standars office, i have asked for a refund but they dont reply this is a con i will tell others to not use them.”
“My parcel is ‘lost’ because UPS couldn’t explain the unexplainable charges on the customs invoice. 4 Months later I’m now passing this to my bank as a dispute because the shipping service was not received and my items are effectively stolen. Never again will I use Parcel Compare.”
“what an absolute nightmare. please read all the negative reviews. my parcel left Manchester Sept 15 2025 it's now Nov 25 2025 with no resolution in sight. UPS cannot reach parcelcompare and they are ignoring my emails. they will not refund me my shipping costs or cost of goods inside the parcel.”
“Absolutely terrible service from…Parcelcompare
Absolutely terrible service from Parcelcompare. I would hiughly recommend that people don't use this company. I sent a gift parcel to a friend and it was so badly damaged along witht he packaging that the item was not usable. They said they were investigating and asked me to send several detailed photos in and then simply said that I was not covered for a £70 electrical device. Shocking service especially as I paid over £8 to have the item delivered.”
“READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE USING THIS COMPANY, I wish I had!
IF YOU WANT YOUR PARCEL TO ACTUALLY REACH THE DESTINATION DO NOT USE PARCELCOMPARE!
I used this Company to send a package to Australia (via UPS), unfortunately, after two months, the parcel has been “abandoned” at AUS Customs and I just keep getting a weekly email informing me that they’re “Actively working on the issue” but they are clearly not!
I really wish I had taken more notice of the negative reviews before giving this Company my money 😤”
“On 29th October, I used the website for Parcel Compare to send a 32" TV from Manchester to London. I packaged it in a box and also paid for 20kg.
On 31st October, I was advised the parcel had a failed attempt due to the receiver declining delivery and again on 4th November. There was no attempt and the concierge checked CCTV at the times and no UPS attempt -- the parcel was 1m long so a memorable parcel to decline.
I then had email from ParcelCompare stating the UPS have done an audit on the parcel and charged an extra £1.00+vat as the parcel was larger/heavier than paid for.
I called UPS and the denied any audit of the parcel and they could not understand why the parcel was returned, then they advised that the wrong label was attached the the parcel.
The parcel has now been redelivered to Manchester a 400 mile round trip and I paid £33.00 + £1.20.
ParcelCompare have not issued a refund. But what they have done is fraudulantly taken money by claim an audit was carried out with no relevant proof.
I have raised as a further complaint -- but a failed delivery over 1 week, excess charge taken and still the parcel is back where it started.
Not what I paid for!”
“Extremely disappointing experience.
I paid for an express shipment from the UK to Morocco that was supposed to arrive within two days - it has now been over three weeks, and my parcel is still being held at the UPS depot in London with no clear return date or resolution.
ParcelCompare has been completely unresponsive, offering only vague updates and no accountability. To make matters worse, they have withdrawn multiple unauthorized payments from my account (£19.59, £39.20, £242.25, and £139.69) without notice, even though the delivery was never completed.
I have repeatedly asked for an explanation and refund, but the situation remains unresolved. This has caused serious inconvenience and financial loss.
I strongly advise anyone using this service to proceed with caution. I will be escalating the matter to UK Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman Service if it is not resolved immediately.”
“Would advice not to use no care complete rip off no help what so ever Would use stronger words about them but better not paid for service and then get twice as much taken directly out of bank so costing 3 times original amount so be warned”
“I used ParcelCompare to send a parcel to China through UPS.
All customs details were filled in correctly on their website, yet the parcel got stuck at customs and now trying to return without any mistake on my side.
Now they are demanding £325 to return the package — more than triple the original cost — with no clear explanation or proof of why it happened.
Their support refuses to take responsibility even though the declaration was correct.
Very disappointed and will not use them again.”
“Strongly recommend avoiding Parcelcompare. Like many others, I had extra charges taken from my account without any invoice (one finally came over a month later after my bank reversed the payments twice.) They say the authorisation to do this was in their small print, which is probably true, but I feel it’s unlikely most of us would check such things when simply sending a parcel. I ended up spending far more than the cost of the goods being shipped and my parcel was never delivered. Parcelcompare appears cheaper than the standard delivery services but it’s not worth the risk of having money taken from your account without notice or permission.”
“Unfortunately, I am sorry I read all these reviews after using this company. My advice is DO NOT USE THEM. After reading the reviews of others, I can tell that the same happened to us, we were quoted a price (40 pounds) and then we were asked an additional charge (16 pounds) because the item was too heavy (but we provided all details from the very beginning). The item was destroyed in transit and they took no responsibility. We lost the money for the item we were planning to return plus what we paid them. Definitely, I am not going to use them again.”
“Shocking service – avoid at all costs! I paid for a next-day collection and, after more than a week, the parcel is STILL sitting here untouched. No driver ever showed up, no updates, and every complaint I raised was brushed aside with copy-paste excuses.
They keep “rebooking” collections that never happen and hide behind the line that they “cannot guarantee collection” – yet they’re more than happy to take your money for it. This is misleading, unprofessional, and feels like a scam.
I’ve wasted time, money, and energy chasing a service I paid for but never received. Truly disgraceful customer service. I would strongly warn anyone thinking of using ParcelCompare – don’t make the same mistake I did.”
“They are saying my parcel was not packaged properly yet I packaged it as it would come out of the shop. I insured the parcel of up to £150 and they are refusing to refund me. I’ve sent evidence proving this and they still refuse. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with and I’ve been ignored.”
“Having provided an apparently efficient service at a reasonable and agreed price, this company feels it is within it's rights (See smallprint) to charge the same amount again two months later with no warning or explanation. Charlatans!”
“They are in contactable, and seem to be so unreliable. They are quick to take payment and then could not be slower when they fail to produce shipping documents. Their website has you going around in circles. It’s a false economy to use them better to go direct to the providers.”
“I tried to send a parcel to Canada, all weighted, measured and paid for using UPS. It was never delivered and I was given all sorts of excuses. Parcelcompare then started taking money from my account with no explanation. I sent numerous emails disputing this and then they passed the buck and said that the consignee had instructed their own broker so I should take it up with them, absolute load of rubbish and nothing of the sort had been done. They are possibly the worst company I have ever come across and I would strongly advise anyone to steer clear. I've ended up paying £170 for a service that has not happened and no responsibility is being taken by Parcelcompare.”
“The most awful company to send parcels.
They will quote cheap and use many number of partner companies to send a parcel. They have product codes for tariffs and if you by any chance enter the wrong code, the parcel will be shipped to the target country and then they will request a return and they will charge you... The parcel will not be delivered and they will charge you the return cost.
Please do not use this company, do it directly with the parcel company. You will pay extra but you have full control.”
“Totally unprofessional service.
I paid for a premium collection service.
Driver never turned up.
Tried to complain and they just cancelled the order.
Absolutely ridiculous service as there’s no customer support and all you get is automated responses.
Never will use them again!”
“Didn’t contact recipient but tracking marked as customs to pay. Then I (sender) tried to contact the company and sender tried to phone local parcel office. Despite saying we wanted to package and keen to pay customs the package was returned to me- at my expense for the return. Not yet sure how much or when I’ll get it back :( Terrible customer service too- if you want to complain you need to write a letter!”
