“Reimbursement reviews take too long- it should not take 30+ days to receive reimbursement. Any additional requests sent to vets should also include the policy holders email to ensure everyone is on the same page. There have been occasions when the vet hadn’t received the additional requests sent from PetsBest so the claim was denied without the policy holder having the ability to intervene.”

“I have insured my dog with Pet’s Best for over 8 years. Excellent service, compassionate staff, and easy claims submission and handling. I have both emailed and called them on the phone if necessary. The people who answer are polite and knowledgeable. They have been there for us when we needed them most! This is NOT a paid review either. I have recommended them to many of my friends.”

“I could write a novel about this company. I had searched for best pet insurance 2025 and they were "rated" the best. I think I was duped with that search. Their FAQ's state 5-7 days for reimbursement. It took 3 claim filings and 9 weeks to get paid, and a threat to sue. I never was "assigned" an adjuster. Customer service told me 10-25 business days. Supervisors are more helpful but do not return calls. FYI-they request all vet records for 18 months prior to an ER visit claim. Customer service does not tell you that. I finally got reimbursed on Monday, claim was Jan. 29, 2026. I HIGHLY suggest reading the reviews on Google and Redit before considering this company. I wish I had! I am stuck with them now since it is a pre-existing condition, I cannot change. I expect a giant rate increase at renewal. You are better off with a Care account or large amount on CC. Thank you!”

“We've been customers of Pets Best for 12 years now. Over the years we have had some minor claims, but most recently our dog was diagnosed with 2 different types of cancer. Our dog is family and therefore we treat her with the same respect and care that we would any family member. She is currently being treated for both cancers and handling it really well. If it hadn't been for the coverage Pets Best provides and the speed with which they review claims and issue reimbursement, I don't know we could afford to treat our baby. We have always strived to giver her her best life.”

“Poor service, constantly, can't get into the website. Support person said sorry, i've done everything I can for you and left it at that. I have to submit a claims by email. Most times takes them over a month to process a claim. Previous insurance processed within two weeks.”
