Excessive processing times lead to the lower score as it shouldn’t ever take a month to process a basic claim.

Can not get thru on phone at all. 20/30 on hold then I hang up. No email address found to correspond with them. Chat bot not available due to who knows. Fed up trying to get thru. Sad for sure. Do better. Still need answers.

I have had Pets Best for years but never had to use it. My precious dog just had an accident, subsequent surgery, and passed away. Pets Best made filing the claim seamless, and reimbursed us for the surgery quickly. This has been a very challenging situation and we are very grateful for their easing the financial burden. 10/10 recommend.

Very glad to have this insurance when tragedy happened to my sweet dog. Thw claim took twice as long to settle than stated. Disappointed that you renewed my coverage and charged me while I had an open claim included my dogs passing. And now you pro-rate the refund. Im not going to sit on hold again for 45 mins to dispute the $20. I think you can do better.

The reinbursments are not the best. Paying a monthly premium and not seeing it be worth it. Might cancel policy

Disappointed with the amount of time it’s been taking to get my insurance payouts. Pretty bummed with the massive price increase. I feel like you’re covering less now that it’s more expensive. Really questioning if it’s worth it anymore.

They covered all of the 4 surgeries my cat and dog had and all the testing visits that came with it .. since September of 2025. I went through a lot. I bless Pets Best and every person who works for or with them every day multiple times. My dog had polyps in bladder. Had 2 surgeries. Now all better :) My cat had mammary cancer. Had 2 surgeries. Now going through chemo… I am telling every person who I meet to get Pets Best insurance. May God Bless them. I cannot thank them enough. First of all I wasn't very happy about the big increase in my insurance policy. You could have given me a better heads up that you were going to make an increase. Second, after talking to a customer service agent, Michael, was his name, from Texas the price came down by making other options to the policy.

It took over 3 weeks to process my claim. Everything was submitted like I have done for years. The price of the insurance has sky-rocketed over the last few years. I never had an illness claim for my pet, only 1 claim each year for his wellness visit. Seriously considering dropping the coverage all together. Very disappointed.

I feel like the payouts are guaranteed if they follow the policy that I signed up for, which is great and my entire purpose of why I have pet insurance. But the payouts and review time is way too long.

For the most part this company is ok. We had to sign up after our original pet insurance closed. Now all of our pets conditions are determined as "pre conditions" --- but were covered under our old company. PetsBest takes longer to process claims than I would hope.

Claims are often delayed or denied unreasonably. They will eventually get paid with appeals or resubmission, but you really have to micromanage the claims process. It’s exhausting and unreasonable. By the time you need to use your insurance and find this out about them, you’re screwed because your pet will have a pre-existing condition and you can’t just switch insurance companies. Now I am stuck with this crappy service.
