“I have found the insurance very easy to use all I do is upload receipts from Vet and I get reimbursed.”

“Their online upload portal does not work, so you have to submit everything by email. Then it takes a bit of time for them to receive the claim into their system by email, and then you go back and forth for a while with exchanging medical records or additional information. Sometimes it can take almost 30 days after submission to get the claim reimbursed. I am satisfied with the reimbursement amounts though!”

“Great pet insurance with good coverage and they pay for most everything in my experience. One star removed due to the yearly price increases. This year our 6 year old dog's price of insurance almost doubled, it was insane. Be prepared for HUGE price increases after your pet turns 5. We will be looking elsewhere going forward at other companies.”

“I have been with Pets Best for less than a year. It is the third insurance I’ve purchased for my 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I cancelled the first two because of my difficulty filling a claim with the first one and a big jump in premiums from the second after barely a year. I just filed my first claim and I couldn’t be more satisfied. It took Pets Best about a week after my claim to complete and reimburse me. All I needed was to submit a claim and they took it from there. I am very happy with Pets Best Insurance.”

“Pets Best has been great with reimbursing vet bills for my injured dog. The only problem is the premium rates just keep SKYROCKETING! This year, my premium will increase over 100%! They say the increase is based on breed, age of dog and local vet costs. Last year, my dogs turned 7 and I expected a big increase, which did happen. I had to increase my deductible to be able to afford the new premium. This year, the premium is AGAIN increasing, but by OVER 100%! I do not live in an expensive location, and I can guarentee that the local vet costs have not increased over 500% in the last 6 years (since I've had pet insurance coverage), and I have a fairly rare breed of dog (Brussels Griffon). I hate to say, but the governments need to start regulating pet insurance, like they do human insurance, as they are running roughshod now. I'm not sure I'll be able to retain coverage for my pets any longer due to the rising costs. And this was the exact reason, I purchased pet insurance to begin with, to help with vet bills as my pets age and will most likely need health assistance.”

“I purchased pet insurance for peace of mind, expecting that it would help cover unexpected medical emergencies. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. My French bulldog suddenly developed severe neurological symptoms, including vision loss and loss of balance. Based on her condition, a veterinary neurologist determined that an MRI was medically necessary to diagnose the cause and guide life-saving treatment. The MRI ultimately revealed brain swelling, and she was diagnosed with an immune-mediated inflammatory condition requiring immediate treatment with steroids. Despite the clear medical necessity of the MRI and the specialist’s recommendation, my claim for the MRI was denied. As a pet owner facing a medical emergency, this was both financially and emotionally devastating. I understand that every policy has terms and exclusions, but MRI is a covered service u der my policy .I encourage anyone considering pet insurance to carefully review the coverage details and fight for your rights. My experience did not meet the expectations I had when I chose this company. I hope the company will review cases like mine with greater consideration for medical necessity and the recommendations of veterinary specialists.”

“Not great. I feel that my insurance policy has significantly increased in price over the last few years, and yet only 20% or so of my dog's ANNUAL vet appointment was covered. Doesn't seem very helpful. I am going to begin looking elsewhere.”

“My dog accidentally ingested fur, which resulted in some unexpected veterinary expenses. We submitted a claim through the insurance company, and I found the platform very easy to use. The process was straightforward, and I received a notification as soon as the claim was received. I was also able to track its progress through my online account until it was completed. I initially expected a higher reimbursement amount, but the explanation of benefits clearly outlined how the reimbursement was calculated. I was also informed that payment would be issued by check. Assuming the check arrives within the estimated timeframe, the overall claims process was simple, transparent, and easy to follow. While the reimbursement was lower than I had anticipated, the overall experience was positive. The process was hassle-free, and having some reimbursement is certainly better than having none at all.”
