“It comes in handy for bigger procedures or emergencies (ones actually covered) which have happened maybe twice in 7.5 years. However it’s very frustrating to pay $100 a month (keeps going up) and when I submit a reimbursement form for one reason or another the stuff is not covered. I almost feel like I pay the monthly insurance for fun. Because there is always an excuse to not cover something. I’ve considered putting those $100 monthly aside and saving that money for when my dog needs something bigger (like an emergency etc). Because I feel like I’m paying a ton more than I’m actually getting coverage for. Feels like I pay insurance for no reason. I am overpaying, because I have the monthly insurance $100 and end up having to cover vet bills myself or get a ridiculously low amount of the bill covered, if any.”

“In general they have been good about paying out claims, although they are often slow about it. However, I was angered to learn about their policy that limits you to a certain amount of incidents of the same kind within a same period. They denied an emergency claim saying that my dog had been to the ER too many times in a certain time period for similar issues. This an absurd policy. Their defense was that it is in the fine print, but they do not put this policy anywhere that is obvious or easy to find when you are signing up, so we were blindsided and left with a large bill for something that was a faultless accident and emergency that we could not ignore. This on top of all the pre-existing conditions that they won't cover, a sad truth with all insurances, means that they are basically pointless for us to have at the moment.”

“I have been with Pet Best for over 5 years. My little one has been battling cancer this past year and PB has been easy to use. I can submit my claims online, check the status all from the app. The direct deposit is super easy for reimbursement. My last claims were about 2 weeks to process. I wish my health insurance was this easy!”
