First time submitting a claim. It take a while due to my older pet requiring medical history. I was easily able to obtain from my vet practice. Once submitted, my claim was reopened and within a couple weeks it was approved for what was covered.

I am glad I had insurance on my dog. He had emergency surgery and I had my reimbursement in about ten deys

I've been very happy with Pets Best. Reimbursements usually pretty quickly from a couple of days to about a month for more complicated claims.

As my dog has gotten older, the premiums have increased. I think we will have to be self insured in the future.

First time having pet insurance and I feel as if we were left in the dark. We kept getting notices that they couldn't receive our pets medical records from the vet. We too initiative to get it ourselves and send it. Even then it took several months to get approved but we still don't have any sort of money back.

The insuranc is great but the premiums are very expensive. If my dog did not have any underline conditions, I could have coverage elsewhere for half the price.

My cat needed an unplanned surgery. The claims submission process was really easy and the explanation of benefits and payouts was very straightforward. I also needed to call the call center for a previous claims question and the agent was not only helpful but very kind, supportive, and genuinely interested in getting to know more about my pet. Thank you!

Pet's Best is so convenient in that it allows the pet owner to adjust coverage as the pet ages ( increasing deductible or reducing % covered, for example) so that the insurance is affordable as the pet ages. Claims are processed quickly and fairly.

They need to work on their portal, constantly having issues with it. Sometimes when you call you have to wait 45 minutes or longer to speak to someone. They seem disorganized if you email a claim, but when the portal is not available you have no choice but to email your information, but it seems like they don't see it and then close the claim. Then you have to start all over and resubmit the claim all over again. Some people on the phone are very nice but I have spoke to a couple of people that were down right rude. Its a insurance company and they do what they possibly can to not pay a claim. They need a better portal system and online system, too many errors, it just seems like they need a better IT team to fix all these online errors.
