Great pet insurance company. Reasonable rates. Easy to use website to submit claims. Very reasonable time between a submitted claim and the investigation into the claim before being sent a claim return. Turn around time may take a little longer when your pet requires extensive help from the vet. Overall, I have been with this company for many years with many different fur babies and I highly reccommend them. Very courteous when you may, on occasion, have to call in to ask a question.

We all enroll our pets in pet insurance because we need an assurance for unexpected incidents. At the end of the day, we also know the insurance company is no charity either. I picked Pet’s Best because of their easy/no-frill claim process and no merry-go-round process like other companies. However, lately it's sad to see Pets Best is becoming one of those. My claim process took almost a month; even talking to a person over the phone takes at least 45 minutes. It was a very frustrating process overall. Instead of blaming a system glitch or merging process, they should be transparent. No, it won’t take 48 hrs to process the claim as they advertised, unless you are claiming for less than $100.

This is the only pet insurance I’ve had so I can’t compare it to another. I can say that the premiums have gone up so much that in another year or so it might not be worth the money. I understand that with aging pets the trips to vet might be more frequent but not always. And isn’t that the gamble that the insured takes. Paying for something they may not use too often. That’s obviously the hope anyways (to NOT have to use it ) especially for people like me who only have accident and illness coverage. It’s also strange how 1 of my dogs claims gets processed within a week but the other takes over a month. And this is med that she has been on since 1yr. She will be 5 soon. So it’s not like it’s new. Overall , my experience has been good but I don’t recommend without giving the advice of checking out all the other options available before committing. Because once your pet gets a chronic issue(as mine do) , you are pretty much stuck with the original insurance because most have pre-existing conditions clauses. I can’t help but feel PetsBest knows this and know they can raise and raise the prices and all I can really do is just opt out of insurance all together. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s how it seems.

I would highly recommend Pets Best Insurance to anyone searching for pet insurance. The coverage is great! The claims process is very easy to navigate, and the reimbursements are completed quickly. I'm very happy to have been with Pet's Best since I got my two pups 6 years ago! They give me peace of mind and I'm sure they will do the same for you.

Slow to respond, default comms to vets is fax machine, and struggle with internal policy issues to communicate directly relay updates to clients

I could not ask for a better insurance for our dog he became a diabetic and that reimbursement is so easy and they have taken care of our dog and us they pay most of his insulin and his bills where he got pneumonia.

You just never know with pets! Pets best was very easy with reimbursements. Prompt service, complete explanation of benefits and coverage of claims. . Overall a very positive experience. I would highly recommend. Just renewed insurance for my dog.

Our claims are paid in a timely manner, so that is a positive. Now for the negative…Our premium has increased again this year! You know we can’t change to another company because they wouldn’t cover preexisting conditions, so you’ve got us there. However we’re almost to the point that the actual vet charges are about even with the premiums! Why doesn’t the app work anymore?

I have had a great experience with Pets Best. It is unfortunate though, how much the premium goes up as your pup gets older. I had to cancel because the amount of the premium is more than I usually spend on vet care. I still have the accident only coverage, for now. Thank you!

The claims process took way longer than initially communicated. I was notified more than once that the provider/vet did not provide the medical records, yet they were provided each time (I was copied on the emails from the provider to Pest Best for confirmation). Call wait time is exceedingly long & the representative I spoke with about my claims did not instill confidence in the correct processing of my claims. In the end, I’m only reviving $20 for well over $1,000 in medical expenses (after meeting my $250 deductible) because my dog’s eye injury was not deemed an injury by Pets Best. I am seriously considering cancelling my policy given this experience.

Pets Best doesn't pay out nearly enough for how much I pay monthly. I pay $120 for a French Bulldog who's been to the vet maybe 4 times this year. I've probably been reimbursed less than $400 but have paid out over $1,440. I feel like it's a big waste of money. I will be canceling my policy after I get my next reimbursement.

We only go to the vet once a year, and while I pay $50/month for Pet Insurance, we recently had a wellness vist (yearly, mind you) which cost $451 and Pets Best reimbursed me only $130. What am I paying all that money for and get only 29% back. Time to start looking for new pet insurance. Sorry!

Its a good service but the monthly rate continues to climb which makes it unaffordable when you need it the most. I have an 11 year old lab that takes $200/month in meds which are covered. When i started the plan the premium started at 50/month and is currently 250/month and climbs every year.
