“The Pets Best are wonderful. Just resently my Vet sent Pets Best a copy of my bill for my little dog Fluffy and they approved my claim almost immediately! They are putting a deposit n my checking account! I am so glad I have them ! I have called them about different things and they are so patient and kind!”

“I’m very pleased with the coverage that I selected. The coverage for “wellness” as well as the coverage for more serious issues was exactly what I was looking for. Having a young hunting dog (14 months), a pet insurance was vital. I’ve had Pets in the past without any insurance and it can be difficult on a budget.”

“I am very disappointed with the coverage of my dog's last vet visit. It was an annual visit and cost over $530 and you are covering $152. This is after I experienced a 20% in my policy cost. So, I will look for other alternatives.”

“We've been customers of PetsBest for almost 10 years and in the last several months, they have challenged the majority of our claims, creating unnecessary confusion and requiring a significant amount of time re-submitting them and following up. They increased the cost of our coverage by ~$80/ month, bringing the cost of our policy for accident and illness ONLY up to almost $200/month. This is more than I pay for my own health insurance. When I called, they spoke over me repeatedly and told me there was no they could do. Incredibly frustrated and actively considering other insurance providers.”

“I would give a higher review if it wasn't for the predatory increase in premiums. When I enrolled, my premium was around $50, then went to over $90 and now it's almost $160 in just two years. The first two years we had ZERO claims and the premiums continued to rise astronomically. Payment and claim processing has been decent, but it is the only plus. One claim processed incorrectly. I called to get it fixed, but the person I spoke to never fixed it or explained why. I was on hold for almost 40 minutes, so I have not called back. We are stuck now, since our girl has lymphoma, but future pets will be covered with a different insurance.”

“The latest claim I submitted was handled quickly. However, we had a major emergency earlier this year when our puppy had a bad reaction to being neutered. He was seen nearly every day for a week to treat the raging infection. Claims were submitted, but Pets Best required so much documentation from our vet. Our vet said the documentation was forwarded to Pets Best, but they kept requiring me to submit it. They finally just closed out the claims due to not getting the paperwork they wanted. It was so frustrating for me to try to work with my vet and submit the paperwork to Pets Best, that I just gave up. The emergency ended up costing us over $2000 with no reimbursement because of their horrendous required paperwork requirement (we opted for the 90% reimbursement, so that was a good chunk of money we never saw). Our other dog (and past dogs we've had) were insured with Nationwide Pet Insurance. We never had to provide any documentation other than the vet's invoice and were reimbursed promptly. I did try to insure the puppy with Nationwide, but the type of policy I currently have is no longer available to new dogs. I chose Pets Best because they offered the 90% reimbursement option, having no idea what they required in additional paperwork.”

“I signed up with Pets Best when my puppy was 10 weeks old, I did a lot of research of different companies and Pets Best is what worked best for our family. We couldn't be happier with our coverage for our now 4 yr old cavalier. Pets Best has reimbursed everything they said they would in our plan. It gives us great comfort that we never have to make a decision on her medical care because of how much it might cost. Knowing that she is covered gives us peace of mind. Their customer service is great and the representatives are very knowledgeable.”

“I have only just insured my 3 young dogs. As I went through the process of setting that up, any time I had questions, or needed help, it was easy and quick to get that. I’ve also just processed my first claim - it could not have been easier, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. So far, so good - I’m beyond pleased!”

“Our dog had cancer. Lymphoma. The treatments were very expensive, but Pet's Best covered 80%, so we never had to consider the financial cost of the treatments. Our fog Leo's life was extended almost a year with the chemo treatments. Leo had zero side effects from the chemo treatments, and we had a wonderful extra year with Leo. And the claims process was far easier than with humand. We submitted the claim, and within 2 days it was approved, and a couple more days the reimbursement was in our account. People insurance should be that easy.”
