The customer service has always been helpful listening to my concerns and addressing questions. My biggest issue with the service would be failure to review all of the documents in detail and the time at which appeals, reviews take place. Most of the issues I had could have been resolved after a simple phone call.

To be honest, at the beginning I had a bad experience, but then they resolved all my issues and concerns. The customer service and appeal team helped me and understood how important is my pet to me. They were always respectful and explained all the necessary information. I do recommend the insurance, the price is fair and the coverage is good. The only thing I’ll suggest is to improve the timeframes for resolution. Kudos to customer service, because they always treated me nicely.

Hi Stephanni, thanks for your time and feedback. We are happy that you feel that our customer service is really good, and that you like the friendliness of our agents. When you receive an Accident and Illness claim Explanation of Benefits from us, if any of the processing went toward the co-pay or deductible, that means the claimed condition was coverable. If a claim is denied or ineligible for coverage the amount would be in the ineligible column, and the Explanation section would show why it was denied. Keep in mind all Accident and Illness policies have a Policyholder chosen per pet co-pay and deductible that must be met before reimbursing on eligible claims. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee specific claims outcomes, or the payment of a claim, until all information has been received and reviewed. Unfortunately, any condition that shows signs or symptoms prior to the policy start or during the policy waiting periods, is not covered by the policy. The Accident and Illness policy waiting periods are 3-days for Accidents, 14-days for Illnesses, and 6 months for Cruciate Ligament events. These waiting periods start from the effective date of the policy. If the condition is not coverable, then the diagnostics and treatments are not covered for that condition. Anytime a Policyholder is in dispute of a claim that has been denied as a pre-existing condition and wants us to review their claim further, the Policyholder can submit an Appeal Form with substantiating documentation to us. Appeals are processed within 90 days currently. Our Wellness Endorsements are a set schedule of benefits that are not subject to a deductible or co-pay. Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy will pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. To keep the additional premium for the Wellness Endorsements reasonable for our Policyholders, they are not designed to fully cover all your wellness needs, but to assist you with the financial burden of your pet’s annual wellness care by providing some reimbursement of what you paid to your veterinarian for their services. You can find your policy documents and wellness schedule under Documents and Forms in your account on our website. We’d be happy to go over your concerns with you. So far so good, sometimes claims take a few days but is not a horrible process. Keep it up.

I signed up for this company because I was referred to it by my car insurance Progressive. I was skeptical on signing up and got the platinum version... I had an expense come up and after verifying some things with my vet I was reimbursed. It has not hit my account yet but i'm hoping it will soon!

Thé claims process is easy and the payments relatively swift. I had a minor gripe with the last one: it took them over a week to let me know they couldn't read the bottom line (which was clearly visible to me). Other than that, it's been excellent!

Good coverage for vaccines but would be great if even part of dental was covered. Bad teeth lead to illness. Routine dentals keep animals healthy

My dog needed TPLO surgery, and I was really worried about the huge bill. But Pets Best covered most of bill and all of the follow up procedure to have the hardware removed due to infection. So, I am grateful to have this insurance. Easy to file a claim and quick to get paid.

This insurance has helped and saved me so much with my dog’s eye condition through the years. I am love how easy the app is to use and easy customize of the plans/coverage. They tend to take a bit long at times to reimburse but still okay timing. Other than that amazing insurance would definitely recommend.

My dog is only 17 months old and developed a small mast cell tumor. Surgery was performed successfully. Pets Best was very good at satisfying my claim on a timely basis. I am happy with their service and would highly recommend them.

In these financially difficult times, I wish Pets Best didn’t increase prices by so much. Makes it even more financially difficult. I understand a small increase, but that hadn’t been the case.
