I have not done in-depth research into other insurers, but I believe we have been treated fairly by PetsBest -- once we understood our coverage better. My fault. We should have spoken to a representative when first signing on. When I had questions about our coverage months afterward, the rep was VERY helpful and we will adjust at our renewal. But we WILL stay with PetsBest because we think, as I said a moment ago, we are treated fairly.

I’m having a little trouble copying and pasting documents and making sure that I have the right documents for each claim. The staff is patient wit me giving feedback about what is required so that the claim can be processed. Extremely helpful

Pets Best pet insurance is good to have. I would recommend it. They do insist on only paying for items they interpret to be covered under the policy, even if another reasonable interpretation may exist. Only their interpretation matters. But overall a good coverage to have.

I like Pets Best for my dogs. They used to be GREAT and now good. Slow on acknowledging received claims (makes you wonder if they got them) and slower than they used to be on sending reimbursements. Other than that---they are very good.

The communication is great with the claims process but I wish it was easier to change my coverage. The app is very easy to use.

I have only had to use this a few times, but my main issue is with the lack of communication. I emailed an inquiry as to why only a small amount was paid, but never received an answer. This is the first pet I have owned in many years so, though I have done medical billing in the past and have a general understanding, I didn't understand what services did not require an amount to be held towards the deductible. Thus, I not only had 2 costly vet visits within a matter of weeks, which were not for routine issues, I was surprised when it appeared my entire deductible was taken from those 2 visits, leaving me with a sizable balance to pay. Out of over $400.00 in charges, I received 2 checks for just over $15.00. Shouldn't I have received my total percentage of the rest of the allowable amount? I will continue to watch what happens over the next few months to decide whether or not to continue with your company.

We love Pets Bests and recommend them to all of our friends with dogs! They are quick to respond, love the vet chat feature and feel they have come through for our dog multiple times! Right after our twins were born, our dog completely tore her ACL and needed surgery. We would not have been able to give her the care she needs without Pets Best! The only reason I am giving a 4 and not a 5 is because they will not cover any allergies. Our poor girl had a grass allergy before getting Pets Best (our mistake we didn't get it sooner). Since we have had Pets Best she has developed a food allergy as well and they will not cover ANYTHING in relation to allergies although it is a new issue of food vs the past issue environmental that she still has. Which can be frustrating on our end.

They're great if there is no pre-existing anything. Get it as soon as you get your pup and you'll be very happy. It takes a while to process claims but I have received everything as explained. They're great at explaining exactly what they cover and what wait times are so there are no secrets. Prices are better than average and they have a no maximum and wellness plan. I'm very happy! You can customize what works for you. Love that.

Timely review and payment of claims. If there is a delay, u do receive an email notification. The cost of my policy is reasonable.

I'm happy and great full we have it. To bad, it only covers certain things and not the medication that is prescribed by the veterinarian.

Good coverage is offered. The only downside is the wait time for reimbursement. My dog had a UTI and had 2 visits within 2 weeks. I had to wait around 4-5 weeks for reimbursement.

I filed 3 claims for one of my dog's surgeries and all were approved which I was very happy about, although the claim process did take quite a while. It was about 3 weeks before the claims even started to process. I know everyone is having staffing challenges right now, but that would be my only complaint. Otherwise, it was a very smooth process with a great outcome.

It's good. Customer service is great. Every time I pick up a call, everyone is very heartwarming and friendly. I just wished when it comes to submitting your claims, that they at least pay 50% of the cost of the bill. I know I chose 70% of whatever the bill is, but I only got 10% back of an $800 bill. At least balance out the $500 deductible that we choose throughout the whole year since it's only the first month of the year.... not cover my first bill at all.

Only problem is sometimes takes over 30days to process the claim, otherwise very good insurance and I have been recommending this company

A little slow to process and hard to get info on the hold up but overall happy. Paid out my claim without too much difficulty. Would definitely recommend.
