I like the ease of submitting claims, and the fact that once they review and return to you the EOB, it’s easy to understand. I like that I feel like I’m not being price gouged and I feel like the things I need covered, are indeed covered as expected. Turn around time just needs to be improved. I have had no claims where I haven’t received the message “sorry for the delay” etc etc. Once the turn around time is improved, I can better recommend it to friends and family. Right now, it’s a bit nerve wracking to depend on especially for big emergencies. But I do think the customer service is good, maybe just need more people. Current turn around time for me on average was 3 weeks from claim submission to reimbursement. Because of the ease of their process, and the straightforwardness of their policies, I still remain with Pets Best and hope they continue to improve in the future.

Super simple process for filing claims and very helpful customer service agents. I volunteer with a rescue and am a huge advocate for pet insurance...I always recommend Pets Best to our adopters.

Despite several recent issues with their mobile app and at times even the website, I do like PetsBest. The Customer Care team is top-notch: always willing to spend as much time and effort as necessary to be certain my concerns and questions are answered and/or resolved to my satisfaction. Can’t ask for anything better than that! I do not agree with the company’s policy re nutraceuticals and other non-pharmaceutical medications; but that’s not the fault of the Claims Department employees…they do their jobs within the terms of the policies.

As a new client, I am pleased with the communication and follow up. I am a bit disappointed in the denial of my claim indicating it was present in the waiting period. My coverage started on 12/1/2025. The corner eye growth did not appear or start to grow until January 2026. Although her vet did remove a hair follicle skin tag on her upper eyelid on 12/16/2025, during her dental cleaning procedure, that skin tag is not at all associated with or the same kind of growth as the corner one. The pathology report that I just received supports that.

My cat had an unexpected series of visits to both the regular vet and the emergency room. Pets Best reimbursed me quickly, and I felt their coverage was quite fair. I feel confident recommending them to friends!

When we had our first claim, I didn’t understand the reimbursement. I called and explained. I had a 1k deductible and 90% reimbursement. Why was I only paid $13 on a $1126 bill? I was told that $13 was 90%, told that they’re not paying me 100%, and was told”I’ll repeated myself to see if you can understand” after I was told the 90% was also taken for the deductible, I maintained that this made the deductible more then 1000 and their initual disclosure was deceitful and their policy explanation was confusing. I was talked down to, treated rudely and ultimately sent back to the loop. To further annoy customers, when I called I was given an automated message “….estimated wait time is 5 minutes”. Then held for 25 minutes listen to the most annoying repetitive music played in 30 second loops. I’m keeping it until the end of my deductible year. Regardless of how the reimbursement is calculated, I refuse to pay any vendor money to be rude to me.

My Dakota had surgery last week and I had Pets Best insurance and they came through for me and paid 90% of the bill within a week’s time I would recommend this insurance company to anybody who owns a pet.

I'm very disappointed. In 2022 my premium started at $50.93/month. By 2025 it had skyrocketed to $160.00/month! I filed my first claim and was only reimbursed $191.00. I suppose I could pay a higher premium and get reimbursed more, but that makes zero sense to me. I am canceling and will shop around.

Can’t say enough good things about pets best. They offered the most coverage at the cheapest price. Reimbursements are fast and easy. And I really appreciated that they proactively cancelled coverage and refunded my premium when one of my kitties passed on. It really meant a lot

I have paid for this insurance for 6 years and when I needed to use it, it took 5 weeks for them to process and approve the payment. My dog had 2 fractured teeth and I considered root canal instead of extraction. The company could not tell me the root canal treatment would be covered until I submitted a claim. So, I went with extraction which was only $600 for the two premolars. Disappointed I had to make that choice.

First CSR was inpatient and had an abrupt attitude. He was not listening to what I was needing. The 2nd CSR gave totally wrong information. He said to to resend my claim, when it was already processed. That wasn't what I needed. What happened to the customer service that was there previously for years??? The claims sent me emails of claims processed That were not the correct ones!! Get better claims representatives, please!!!
