I have been with pets best for my dog and they are very fast responding to claims and are thorough. I am very happy with this insurance company for my pet.

I’ve had a really good experience with this pets best overall. The coverage has been helpful for routine issues and a couple of unexpected vet visits, and the claims process has been pretty straightforward. Submitting claims online is easy, and reimbursement usually comes through within a reasonable time. Customer service has also been responsive whenever I had questions about coverage or claims. It definitely gives me peace of mind knowing I have some financial backup if something happens with my pet. The only downside is that premiums have increased a bit over time, and sometimes certain treatments or fees aren’t covered the way I initially expected. It’s worth reading the policy details carefully. That said, I still think it’s a solid option for pet owners who want protection against big vet bills while keeping their pets healthy. Overall, I’m happy with it and would recommend it.

We recommend this pet insurance. Coverage is comprehensive, including unexpected costs such as intensive care when you need time to decide about your pet’s treatment. I contacted customer service and found them empathetic and helpful.

I used my accidental coverage which is reasonably priced. The payment was rather quickly reimbursed. I am thankful it worked out as smoothly as it did considering the traumatic experience we were put through having to use it as my dog was attacked by another dog. Glad we had Pets Best.

generally very helpful had a question about a claim which I think they answered. Tried MULTIPLE TIMES to get into your customer portal still cannot do tthat!!!

Pretty responsive with my claims, so I like that. The EOB is clear and accurate, as far as I can tell. The website issues that made logging in difficult seem to have been fixed. Our pet has been insured for two years going on three. In that time my annual premium has increased close to 80%. Overall, for our pet's needs it still seems to make sense and having peace of mind is nice, but the rapid increase in costs are troubling. At this rate it in a year or two it will cost more for my health insurance than my pets.

I signed up on the recommendation of my vet for one and then both of our cats a little over a year ago. In the beginning it was great. I was able to easily submit claims, get fast turn around and documentation that was easy to understand. Then something shifted. They seems to have constant system outages and I cannot remember the last time I was able to submit a claim without the system crashing or being told to “try again later”. The responses on claims don’t make sense, but you spend so much time stuck in AI auto chats you can’t get answers. Even this survey doesn’t make sense. Questions like “was your delivery on time”, who delivered…it’s an insurance company, what delivery’s? I am absolutely looking for a new company.

We've been a Pets Best customer for over 8 years and have experienced a sharp decline in satisfaction and customer service within the last few months. They're website and mobile app has always been poor and glitchy, but a few months ago we were unable to log into the mobile app. I could log into the website, but never recognizes my device (even though I use the same one each time). It prompts an email to verify. Once verified, occasionally I can log in, but sometimes it says it's not a recognized device and sends me in a cycle of frustrating verifications. For several months, I was unable to file claims. The website would let me go through the process but when I submitted, I received an error. I learned from Reddit that it was due to a technical issue at Pets Best. There was no proactive communication to customers, which is a remarkable missed opportunity from Pets Best. I emailed a claim and followed up a week later. I NEVER received a response and had to wait for the website to allow me to file claims again. They've always been inconsistent with claim processing times, but lately it's taking 3-4 weeks. That is way too long considering customers often need to the reimbursement to pay a credit card. Until Pets Best starts caring about their customers and proactively communicating, I DO NOT recommend them.
