“3 months I can’t get my money!”

“I’ve been with Pets Best since my dog was a big puppy. It seems that every year they raise the cost exponentially high and each year they find more things they won’t cover. I would change companies. However, because my dog has chronic ear infections they wouldn’t be covered by a new company. So they have you between a rock and a hard place. Other than one hospitalization as a puppy, in the 11 years I’ve been with them, I’ve probably used pets best twice a year for the ear infections and nothing else, because they don’t cover anything else she needs. If they would charge according to the need, I could understand raising prices. But I pay more insurance for her than I do for myself.”

“The last claim took way to long & way too many phone calls to complete. Trying to get back to the liscensed agent in my area was impossible. Additionally, the headsets or the electronics the people in the call center use must be old & worn out because their voice continually cuts out making understanding them extremely diffuicult especiallywith their accents. I dread having to jump through hoops again the next time I have a claim & if I do I'll cancel the insurance & go elsewhere. One time during this fiasco the call got cut off so I called back & was told they would return my call "shortly" & I should stay by my phone. That never happened. One hour & twenty minutus later I called back to start this whole mess over again. I'd like to know what their defination of "shortly" is.”

“Only complaint is the huge increase in cost last year. Nothing changed in my coverage. You still don’t cover the supplement my dog takes for her hips. And I think with the increase in cost you could either add the supplements in or offer another perk. Your turnaround time for claims is pretty good, explanation is always helpful. I just think it all costs too much and you know you have dog owners that would do anything to keep their pets healthy so you can do what you want.”

“Pets Best has an online claim procedure. It took around a week to settle my claim. Then they deposited to my account minus my copay. Very easy. This is my second pet with this company. I will continue to use them.”

“Have been with Pets Best since 2020. We have a frenchie and a rescue hound mix insured with them. The frenchie has cost us quite a bit over the years. Pets Best have always been great and prompt with paying out the claims. Highly recommend this company if you need your fur babies to be protected. They have made the stressful times easier, knowing the financial burden of looking after our frenchies medical needs are covered.”

“The app was not working and would not accept a picture of the invoice. On the website it also would not accept a scanned copy of the invoice. I tried emailing the invoice as well. Eventually - after numerous attempts was the invoice accepted and approved for reimbursement. Others may have given up. I pay $198 per month for two dogs. Claims should be easier to submit,”

“Buying Petsbest insurance for our new pups saved our puppy's life. We would never have been able to afford his $6700 sirgery without it. Insurance payment came quick enough to pay the credit card bill when it arrived. We could not be happier to have our wiggly pup back home and heLthy. Thanks to Petsbest and excellent vet care.”

“Took too long and wouldn’t cover the required teeth cleaning for the surgery. The teeth cleaning was not done for cosmetic reasons. It was required by the surgeon in order to do the mouth surgery yet it was not covered.”

“I am extremely disappointed with this pet insurance. I pay $128 a month and was shocked to learn how little is actually covered when my dog needed basic care. The reimbursement I received was minimal and nowhere near what I expected given the premium. As someone who works in the insurance industry, I find the value and transparency here very concerning. I regret recommending this company to other dog owners, and after seeing my experience and the reimbursement I received, several have already decided to move their policies elsewhere. Unfortunately, I will be doing the same.”
