Reimbursement claims take a very long time to process, more than a month. Two claims for more than $2,000 were denied on the grounds that our dog had symptoms of the underlying condition before the policy took effect. This is not true. No veterinarian had ever before diagnosed osteoarthritis or even linked the symptoms to the possibility of this disease. According to the latest statement, $141 was reimbursed from the $712 bill. Although a 90% reimbursement was promised. The company took $500 and credited it to my annual deductible. Although the annual payment was made in October 2025 (it is now March 2026) and the annual payment date has not yet arrived?!! This seems like fraud to me...

Everytime we submit a claim, for anythjng, its delayed at least 5 - 7 times & we have you keep resubmitting multiple times. We are seriously considering trying other insurance

It was a customer since November of 2025 have a male neutered healthy dog paying $133 a month to have your insurance your company pays only $50 annually for office visit and $55 for medication I find it cheaper to keep the $133 a month and a private bank account in case of an emergency your company is just ripping me off

We unfortunately needed to utilize our pet insurance recently for a chronic illness for our puppy. The process was very easy from filing the claim to claim reimbursement.

Overall, my claims got processed, but there was a huge headache with the medical records. I loaded them via the portal, but for some reason they weren't accepted so my claims took just about 2 months to process. Even now they aren't fully processed as they closed some claims saying that they could be reopened when the medical records were loaded. Who knows when that'll happen. All I can say is if you use them, make sure your pets medical records are loaded and confirmed before submitting a claim.

I don’t know what I would do without Pets Best insurance!! They have literally saved my dogs life and my wallet twice in the last 6 months. I have all 3 of my dogs insured with them, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made for them. I have peace of mind knowing that when dogs are dogs and something goes wrong, Pets Best will be there to help us get through it. I can’t thank them enough for their help.

This was my very first time using Pests Best since starting Kya over one year ago. I felt that the process to submit a claim from the vet was very easy. The reimbursement for her visit was great and I am happy the remaining will go towards her deductible. I would highly recommend PetsBest to anyone seeking pet insurance.

I have been with Pets Best since January 2024. I pay $68 a month for my 4 year old cat. While the claim process itself is incredibly easy and the user interface is straightforward, the actual "Explanation of Benefits" was quite anticlimactic. For a recent $315 wellness visit, I was only reimbursed $140. Between the "Wellness caps" on labs and exams and various non-covered administrative fees, the math just does not feel like it is working in my favor. I have paid in nearly $1,800 over the last two years and have seen very little of that returned for routine care. The problem is that because my cat is now 4 years old, I feel stuck. Moving him to another provider would likely result in higher premiums or anything in his current medical records being labeled as a "pre-existing condition." I recognize the insurance is there for the "big hit" emergencies. Thankfully, we have not had to use it for that yet. However, the day to day value for a healthy cat feels very low. If you are looking for a plan that truly offsets the cost of annual care, the Wellness add-on may not be worth the high monthly premium. It provides peace of mind for a catastrophe, but for everything else, it feels like a lot of money for very little return.

We have had our rescue dog for about a year and a half. She’s approximately 2 1/2 years old at this point. Normally a young dog does not have many health issues, but we have had a couple of things crop up and Pets Best has been wonderful about reimbursing.

am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company. The annual price increases are becoming completely unreasonable. As someone who works in the veterinary field, I fully understand that the cost of veterinary medicine is rising, but it is simply not increasing at the same rate as the premium inflation I have experienced here. My rate should not be doubling year after year. It feels excessive and unjustified. I am also very dissatisfied with the claims process. Even for basic medication refills, refunds take an entire month to process. Waiting that long for such straightforward claims is unacceptable and adds unnecessary frustration to an already expensive service. Unfortunately, I feel stuck with this company. Both of my dogs now have underlying conditions, which means I cannot switch to a different insurer without losing coverage for those issues. If that were not the case, I absolutely would have moved to another provider by now. As a veterinary professional, this experience has significantly affected my opinion of this company. I would not recommend Pets Best to clients, colleagues, or friends, and I would not choose to use this company again for any future pets.

Very happy my claims for a foreign body surgery and then all following complications were covered without any questions! My only complaint is the 3+ week turn around time. When you're spending 3k+ at the vet and having to use multiple credit cards, waiting that long for reimbursement is nerve-wracking.
