Claim took over 30 days and still haven’t gotten reimbursed . Called customer service told them I was shopping new insurance all the girl said was “do you want me to cancel your policy now?” Nothing but run around!!!!!

I was paying Pets Best $43 monthly over a year. My dog had a urinary tract infection in June. We took him to an emergency vet hospital on a weekend because he had blood in his urine. I paid the vet emergency hospital $904.00. I submitted my first claim which took over 5 weeks and received a denied claim stating that the urinary tract infection was Not covered. I immediately cancelled the policy. Pets Best is a scam. They will deny your claims. Don't use them. Thanks John

Worst customer service! They wouldn't pay for an accident falsely claiming that it was a pre-existing condition. After appealing, they are supposed to return my money and it has been nearly a year. When I appealed, the company had said 60 days to get a response - I called at day 63 since I had not heard anything and the woman that answered was disrespectful besides not providing any information of when I could hear a response. Overall I am really disappointed. Also, it was impossible to get someone to answer the phone. Really frustrating.

Waste of time to have this insurance. You can never get in contact with anybody, they don’t reimburse more than $50. After cancelling my policy I still get emails about “claims that I’ve put in” even though I no longer am with the company.

If I had to do it all over again, I would NOT select Pets Best insurance for my pet. They are ridiculously inefficient in paying out claims (over a month most of the time despite their website saying 15 - 30 days). Their customer service phone line is almost non-existent. Waiting up to an hour to talk to someone most of the time. They don't care about animals - only $$$. If my dog wasn't considered senior, I would get another health insurance company.

I am frustrated with the amount of time it takes for claims to be processed and I don’t get calls or emails when more info is needed from my vet and the claim is just denied. I actually plan to cancel my policy because it seems that I have no communication coming my way and things just get denied without making me aware to try and get info from my vet too

Not happy at all with the experience and have canceled my policy. Unless you buy insurance the minutes after he is born they will consider any claim as pre existing as in my case. My dog had an ear infection and denied claim based on he had an ear infection 1 year previously before I purchased plan so this is not covered. I have paid out more money for this insurance I could have just paid all the vet bills without insurance. Ridiculous

In general, I would not recommend Pets Best. They take about one month to process a claim, and once the claim is processed, they interpret your claim to ensure that they only have to pay a minimum amount. We are paying for the highest dollar plan, with the additional well-being plan. We just got a puppy and knew that we did not want to worry about his health. If I were to break down the numbers, I would imagine the plan has covered about 20-25% of what we have expended so far. One caveat. If your vet only accepts Pets Best then it may be a viable option because that would reduce claim times. In addition, people say that pet insurance is most valuable when dealing with an emergency. That being said, we are going to look elsewhere after this year.

Absolutely a joke. Never answer the phone. Paying top dollar and they have denied everything. Don't do it!!!!!! Really. I'm not some angry disgruntled customer. It's really not helpful at all.
