Difficult to get reimbursement even when we pay a lot of money out of pocket to be reimbursed. Cancelling our policy with them asap and going back to our old pet insurance who made it simple, easy and fair to submit a claim and be reimbursed. Do not recommend.

I'm extremely disappointed in Pets Best. I rescued my American Staffy and immediately signed up for Pets Best insurance. 3 days after adoption I took 'Charlie' to the vet(knowing about 14 day waiting period)just for a "once over" since he was abused then in a kennel til I gave him a home. I never intended to submit a claim for this initial visit but the vet gave him a PRECAUTIONARY SHOT in case of allergies. So 21 days go by and I take Charlie for his first visit I submitted as a claim. WAS DENIED COVERAGE BECAUSE NOW 'ALLERGIES' ARE A PREEXISTING CONDITION. Even though it was only giving as precaution. Now I'm told no allergies OR allergy related (food or seasonal) will be ever covered for life. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED...WILL BE CANCELING COVERAGE IMMEDIATELY.

Unfortunately, in order to provide affordable coverage for our pet parents, any condition that shows signs or symptoms prior to the policy start date or during the policy waiting periods is not covered by the policy. Our Accident and Illness policy waiting periods are 3 days for Accidents, 14 days for Illnesses, and 6 months for Cruciate Ligament events. These waiting periods start from the effective date of the policy. If the condition is not coverable, then the diagnostics and treatments are not covered for that condition. Anytime a Policyholder is in dispute of a claim that has been denied as a pre-existing condition and wants us to review their claim further, the Policyholder can submit an Appeal Form with supporting documentation to us. If you’d like to discuss the specifics of your claim and/or receive an Appeal Form for a claim, you may contact our Customer Care Team by calling (877) 738-7237. I have not submitted to many bills for my dog. But my insurance premium just went up over $36.00 per month. This is getting crazy. I’m afraid of dropping the insurance. Fear of a horrible accident or illness. I had a previous dog who was born with an illness and didn’t have insurance. We paid a lot for his care, but wouldn’t have change a thing for the beautiful boy he was . He gave us so much love. Anonymous dog mom

The email I received about a possible 65 increase next year is totally unacceptable. I will write the corporate and have everybody I know who has this insurance let them know that we cannot stand for this increase. That is ridiculous. You gonna lose many many memberships.

Up until 2 years I’ve become completely unsatisfied with Pets Best. They’ve found a loophole in their policy where they do cover my dogs thyroid issue although he was covered under Pets Best way before he was diagnosed with hypothyroid. I’m now currently paying for an insurance in a Pets Best that won’t cover any of his visits because of their loophole. Not only that, it takes about 30-60 days to even have a claim processed. Not the best insurance when it comes to caring for pets and their owners.

I've had to call 4 days to resolve a very simple issue. I have spoken to two CS reps. who have been kind in their calls but lack actual concrete knowledge as to how to fix the situation. Both giving me completely different information. The last one, 'Richard', did not listen to what the issue actually was an was intense and condescending in tone when explaining an idea that doesn't actually fix the issue.

Still unhappy with this company! Claims take a very long time to process and they are too quick to deny a claim without even asking a question. When you call to ask questions you can never speak to the claims adjuster, just a service rep with canned responses that they will forward your concern back to claims. This is a highly process that can be extremely frustrating and stressful. Further, adding invoices to existing and not yet completed claims is not possible on line so a NEW claim has to be opened each additional invoice.

Takes too long to get reimbursed. Received two (2) letters on same claim "Sorry your claim is being delayed" thus the delay is being delayed. Also they certainly don't miss the insurance payment date though claiming to no longer insure if not paid by due date. Again they have raised insurance cost considerably. Alwasy take in consideration not only the annual cost but the deductible when comparing pet insurance. This company is just OK. not good nor not great.

My plan is for an 80% reimbursement after you pay a 250 deductible. I have yet to be reimbursed 80%. I will be looking into other options.

Very slow responding to claims and having pets best insurance is not worth it. I filed one claim in three years and thought my pet would be protected. Vet bill was close to $400.00 and did not get reimbursed for any of the cost. Should have gone with a competitor. I'll be canceling this insurance. Hopefully I'm not any under contract.

I never had any complaints about the insurance coverage with my previous dog......but with my newest dog YOU PAY NOTHING.........NOTHING...... BEFORE NEXT MONTH'S $$ IS DUE I MIGHT HAVE A NEW INSURANCE COMPANY I did recommend your company all the time....guess what??? not any more
