“Pets Best is a great pet insurance company. They respond promptly to questions and typically have short turnaround time on claim submissions. I do wish they would cover herbal supplements when prescribed for an illness.”

“I've been waiting a total of 3 months for a claim and it is still pending. I entered the claim and it was initially denied after 1 month because Pets Best requested information from a hospital that they didn't receive so they rejected the claim. I then had to get the information from the hospital myself and send it to them and reopened the claim. It's been pending for 2 months now with no updates on its status.”

“They’re almost always past the anticipated time to process claims. They consistently do not have chat operators available. They also don’t cover cremation or services for euthanasia. The more we get into claims, the more I see other companies offer more.”

“After shopping around, I was confident that this policy was the best price for the coverage I wanted. I am very thankful that I had it in place when my dog tore his ccl, and required surgery. Pets Best responded quickly, and their payment will keep my budget very comfortable, even after a very expensive procedure. I highly recommend this company!”

“Pets Best has been my dog’s health insurance since we got her 11 years ago. I’ve recommended PB to others as well. My dog has several chronic health issues and I don’t know how I could afford to purchase her medications and follow ups without the help of PB. Bill processing of refunds is fast and fair, and it’s easy to submit invoices on line.”

“Pet's Best continues to impress. Our recent claim was received easily online, processed quickly and paid out in accordance with our policy - no problems. As my dog ages and his health issues become more complex, it is a great source of comfort to know that we do not have to make difficult decisions based only on financial considerations, but instead can focus on what is the best treatment for our old boy based on what our Vet recommends. I highly recommend getting insurance to any new pet Owner, especially Owner's of rescue animals, and I specifically recommend Pet's Best based on my good experiences with them. “Processing of claim took much longer than promised or expected. Also, the explanation of benefits was sent in two separate emails days apart, so that I was confused that nothing had been covered since I know I have some (limited) wellness benefits.”

“HORRIBLE! I do NOT recommend. This company doubles premium rates annually. First year $40/month. Second year $80/month. Third year $160/month. Fourth year $230/month! They take too long to process claims and reimburse you. The claims process is arduous with the APP and website oftentimes not functional. Today, I spent an hour preparing a document for a claim - only one invoice per claim - so for medication, I have to consolidate monthly invoices into one document. When I hit the SUBMIT button, I got a message saying: “This request is blocked”. Attempted again and received same message. When I called customer service to see why and figure out how to submit my claim, I receive a message that customer support is CLOSED on Sundays! I want to cancel my insurance and there is no way to do it on the website. Now, I’ll have to sit on the phone and wait for extended period of time to try and cancel. They waste your time, lock you in and make you work so hard for everything including canceling.”
