“Everything was very easy. Filing a claim is simple and fast. Reimbursement was fast. I’m not too excited about the coverage on my first claim. I took my dog to the Vet for three typical shots. No exam just shots. The bill was about 200 dollars and all I was reimbursed was 45 dollars. I have 3 pets insured here and am paying $169 dollars a month. This is one pet preventative care. Somehow it doesn’t sound like I am really getting a great deal. Is this normal with Pet Ins?”

“We adopted a puppy at 8 weeks old we decided this time to get insurance. Well this puppy turned into a medical nightmare. chronic ear infections, allergies and a significant heart murmur. well 4 years old now with ear ablation surgery actually 2 this year 7000$ each side. Pets Best has helped us financially weather this puppy’s issues but also there advice line gave us great advice and helped me decide on surgery I was dragging my feet on. Well turns out surgery was the best decision he got his energy and playful puppy self back. I recommend this plan to all my friends . They pay us back timely and seem to care about your dog. Thank you Pets Best and your awesome team I am a client for life.”

“I spoke with many helpful customer service representatives and appreciated their expertise. My only negative experience with pets best was the fact my claim was closed out due to them “not receiving” documents from both of my vet offices which I was assured were sent over and CC’d in the email. Not sure where pets best got the communication issues. They had to resubmit my claim and it’s taken almost 5 months for everything to be finalized. It was honestly very frustrating due to my payments still coming out monthly for the insurance and not being reimbursed for many months later. Other than that I love this insurance and love the customer service reps I talked to throughout these months.”

“I haven't had the insurance for very long as we just got our Mini Australian Shepherd puppy a few weeks ago. However, before I purchased pet insurance, I did extensive research and found Pets Best to be the best all around pet insurance in terms of options, coverage, and price. Our puppy had his first well puppy visit last week, and we were reimbursed directly into our checking account within 4 days of submitting our claim.”

“Inept claims processing and customer service; I had to email more than 5 times and give them the same information to finally get a claim to process and they denied a portion of it due to misunderstanding the records. I had to spend hours on the phone because they would only send auto-generated email responses. At least it’s cheaper than other options. The agents were nice.”

“Let's best pays timely for the most part. I have been waiting for one claim to be paid, but because of its amount, I'm sure it has to go through a lot of approvals. They explain why they don't cover certain charges on the "explanation of benefits" which will answer your question without having to call or email them.”

“I own Bernese Mountain Dogs and as such, I have had pet insurance on my dogs for over two decades. Not necessarily Pets Best but given the propensity for health issues in my breed of choice, I have felt it imperative to have pet insurance coverage. Recently, my dog was seen by the team at Louisville's Emergency and Specialty Hospital and an Internal Medicine Specialist. This was the first time that I have incurred such a large expense for treatment for my dog. In addition to being seen at our Emergency and Speciaty Hospital I also traveled to Purdue University for her to be seen by specialists in Oncology, Nephrology and Surgery. I submitted my bills for my dog's care to Pets Best shortly after she had been seen by the doctors here in Louisville. While Pets Best may not process such large claims as quickly as some of the other pet insurance companies, they covered the full 90% of the expenses with the exception of a small charge for disposal of medical waste. I was very impressed that I could examine the EOB's and quickly discern that all the charges I had expected to be paid were infact paid without any hassles or denials. What I am currently dealing with regarding my dog's illnesses has been an emotional rollercoaster but what was nice and reassuring was the fact that I didn't need to worry about payment of the claims in full according to the plan I had chosen.”
