I would have given 5 stars except my most recent claim was not paid correctly. I bundled 6 months of vetoryl prescriptions but was only paid for the first one. I resubmitted each paid invoice as a separate claim and I hope for prompt claim payment.

I have owned dogs for almost 60 years (yikes I'm old!) and I had never owned pet insurance until it was recommended by my vet when i adopted Louie, a big long puppy, at 6 months. She told me that his long shape had the chance of a twisted stomach and catastrophic pet insurance would be good, at last for his 1st year. I bought it and it's the best thing I ever did. He is almost 3 years old and I have filed 3-4 claims. The claims process is easy. They immediately send you a confirming email that they have received the claim. If they don't process it immediately, I receive an email apologizing for the delay each week. All of my claims have been paid so far and always within a few weeks. I wish people insurance was 1/100th as good as this. It is the only insurance of any kind I have ever had a positive experience with!!!!!!!!!

I am more than pleased with my experience as a Pets Best customer! My dog was recently diagnosed with cancer, which is extremely scary and overwelming. The only peace of mind I've had is knowing that Pets Best has had us covered! They have covered everything exactly according to my policy details, no exceptions, and process caims in a timely manner. I would highly recommed Pets Best to any and every pet owner!

Claim processing is pretty slow (I almost always get an email that says "We apologize for the delay"). The mobile app kind of sucks and there was a period of several months last year where their website was constantly experiencing issues and wouldn't let you submit a claim, but I think they've solved that issue. They're not good at communicating nuance either - last year I had a claim for flea and tick protection that said I'd been reimbursed but I never saw the money. I called customer service and they said earlier in the year, I'd already been reimbursed the maximum amount my wellness plan allows for flea and tick. Totally fine but that wasn't documented anywhere. Another time I got an email saying I needed to update my claim because the invoice I provided wasn't itemized. There was one item on the invoice and it had all the information they require. I called customer service and they said I needed to submit proof of delivery - again, that was not communicated in the email. Other than that, it's been pretty good. I've never had to fight or argue with them to get reimbursement. My insurance did go up 50% this year but all insurance costs are increasing so it's not much of a surprise.

We went to our vet for booster shots and the annual checkup. While examining my dog, the vet noticed ear infections in both ears, which is common in Labradors despite regular cleaning. Pets Best did not reimburse me, claiming that this symptom was known before the consultation! We have a dog that shows no symptoms when he gets an ear infection, so how could I have known? I'm not a vet! In short, I think this is an excuse used by many insurance companies to avoid reimbursements.

This company made the process for being reimbursed simple and straightforward. We have had insurance with Pets Best for many years and have never been disappointed while working with them . Their customer support people were superb .

I have not had a good experience at all. I’m fact, I’m still waiting to hear contacted about the claims I have open. Ive talked to so many different agents on several occasions and each time I had to re-explain the entire story again and again. Not to mention trying to get anyone on the phone at all is a nightmare. My claim was the result of a fluke injury to my dogs hip and to start the xray claim was denied due to them saying it was not covered because it was an illness? So I resubmitted and still haven’t talked to anyone about it despite several attempts. I still need help! So can someone please reach out to me !

I have been very pleased by my Pets Best Insurance. They have been super professional and straightforward. Unfortunately for our family our dog has had several issues and is currently battling cancer. Pets Best has made a lot of our tough decisions easier.
