“I could not ask for a better pet insurance company. Pets Best makes it easy to submit claims, their policy is clear, and they pay as promised very fast. I do not understand why anyone would use another pet insruance company.”

“I’ve had Pets Best insurance for a long time now My dog is getting older and I need it for her medication’s I guess the main thing for the last few claims was your website being down. When I was trying to submit my claim last month (and by the way, )I’m just now getting reimbursed which I think 6 to 8 weeks is plenty long to wait for reimbursement. Anyway… . Every time I got a message that you needed more information .. (which just turned out to be it was cut off. I did send it because I do every single month with her medication refills so I know what to send ). I was Johnny on the spot giving it to you. But I have to wait because you guys can’t seem to fix the website. And not only that every time I ask one of the agents how long it’s gonna be they always said tomorrow… it got to be a joke,…. But that being said.. You don’t have any problem taking my premium. Which is $270 a month by the way, which is my choice because my dog is getting older. I have no plan on canceling it or changing it. My advice to you is ….. Fix your website. It’s extremely irritating. So as you can tell… I was pretty frustrated with your website… I’m actually waiting on a chewy delivery so I’m gonna have another claim to file by the end of the week. I guess time will tell if you fixed it”

“This is my first pet insurance and so far I am happy about it. The enrollment is easy , though you have to wait two weeks for the insurance to start, the claim is easy, it’s done online , upload the receipt and invoice, but reimbursement is received within a month. And when I need to talk to someone , I don’t have to wait long for representative.”

“TL;DR good coverage, relatively affordable, good customer service I've had Pets Best insurance for my two cats for just over a year. Claim submission process is pretty easy overall. The Claims Explanation document is a bit hard to follow. Would be really helpful to have a summary of reimburstment value in the document. The couple times I've had to call to resolve something were handled pretty quickly. There was one instance where I had emailed my cat's medical record separately following an email requesting the information, but I didn't receive a confirmation that it was getting processed. It was taken cared of after I followed up. Not perfect but I would still recommend Pets Best in the end.”

“I am grateful for the safety net. However, I had to battle to get coverage for both my pets as they are rescues. Also, my premiums in the second year of coverage, jumped significantlymaking the insurance barely cost-effective. When I did a comparison of what I pay into Pets Best, versus what gets reimbursed, into ChatGPT… The result was I losing money. The only reason I've kept the insurance is because my cat does have an ongoing illness and at any time he could have an emergency. So, having said all of this, if your pet is healthy, I would highly recommend getting a care credit card, which is specifically designed for Pet medical bills, and paying off the credit card. It is way more cost-effective. It's for these reason Pets Best gets median score. Not fantastic, not affordable, not easy to manage, slow return on claims, and frustrating. In today's economy, pet insurance does feel like a luxury item, but sometimes it's necessary. Again, I am grateful for the safety net, as it is necessary for me having a cat with an ongoing illness. I don't know if it's a good fit for everyone.”

“I've been with Pets Best for 14 years. When provided with all the correct information, they have always been fair, and paid in a timely manner. The premiums are high, but I consider it a savings account for my dogs”

“Very frustrated that I can't increase my coverage options later after my initial selection. For example, I can't add new coverage(s) for a healthy young cat I have, in case she needs those when she gets older, simply because I didn't choose those coverages years ago. This makes me want to change to a totally different company where I have those options for her.”

“I am happy with the insurance, but I wish the time between inputting a claim and the explantion of benefits was shorter. It is consistently over 3 weeks for me, which is often a long time without money from expensive vet bills.”
