“Very expensive for what you get. Many claims fall within “pre-existing “ conditions. They love that one! The premiums go up drastically as your pup gets older. Not a happy customer but once you get them you are stuck with them.”

“Not that great. They don't cover preexisting conditions, and that apparently has a wide net. Also, their limits are really low. A basic wellness appointment for my 2 cats cost me around $500 and it only covers about $200 of that. Honestly, when my policy is up, I'm going back to Metlife.”

“Decent, but they drag their feet on the larger claims. Additoinally, premiums increased 100% from 2025 to 2026. Seems like highway robbery but I can't switch now. I'll keep it until the premiums outweight the actual bills.”

“Pets Best frequently denies coverage. For example, they denied coverage for a skin condition caused by hypothyroidism. They're covering the hypothyroidism, but not the skin! His previous owner treated him for itchy skin 5 YEARS ago! Pets Best claims that the new skin issue is pre-existing. My vet wrote a statement saying that the skin condition was unrelated to any previous diagnosis , and I disputed their ruling - they still denied the claim. Now my dog injured his tail. They denied coverage because they claimed it was for allergies, even though the vet noted it was due to trauma. It was an injury! I'm having to dispute that ruling, too. What a hassle! On top of it, they are often slow to pay. I do NOT recommend this insurance company!!!”

“Always friendly, courteous and timely. We have a multi-dog household and have been using Pets Best for many years now. In the unfortunate circumstances when we’ve had major claims due to accident or illness, the claims have always been handled in a timely manner and our communication with customer service has been too notch.”

“Pets Best is the all time best pet insurance out there. We tried and cancelled many policies in the past as they would deny coverage for things we should have been covered for and it was disheartening to pay every month and be denied help when it was needed. A friend of mine recommended pets best and I signed up. Then my sweet boy had a major medical emergency about 2 years after first signing up. I submitted my claims and honestly was prepared to have to fight but to my surprise Pets Best has been there for us, covering everything that’s is listed as covered in our policy. It has been such a weight off our shoulders and I am forever grateful and will always recommend Pets Best to everyone with a pet.”

“Highly recommended to friends, family and coworkers. Pet Best has been very good to me and my dog Pancake. Covering dermatology visits, ER exams and now most recently oncology. They always send the reimbursement between direct deposit or will send a check directly to your vet. Communication is always top tier!”

“This was our 1st time having pet health insurance. It was definitely worth it for our sweet pup. When she got sick we were able to take her to the vet for care and be reimbursed what we paid with no issues or delays. Im really pleased we had Pets Best Insurance. I was dreading having to file a claim thinking the process would be a pain but it was very simple, straight forward, fair and what we agreed to in our policy.”

“We have been with Pets Best for 2 years . When our first dog got attack and had major trauma Pets Best was there when we needed them. They are always there for our second dog. The claim experience is so easy and customer service is always so helpful. I would definitely recommend Pets Best to anyone looking for your pet insurance.”

“When asked to provide a review of Pets Best, I was happy to write this review!!! Pets Best has been a wonderful insurance company. I have 2 now senior dogs. Both have been insured with them for years. The insurance is inexpensive when they are young but goes up when they age. I am okay with this as they provide execellent coverage. Allowing you to chose the coverage you need. I have been submitting claims. They respond in a very timely manner. No hassles. Easy to submit them online. I am very pleased!!!”
