“Don't waste your money. Just got a $175 payout on an $875 dog vet bill. A 20% return makes this policy completely pointless. Save your money in a private savings account instead of giving it to them. I have annual policy that I pay over $800 a year for. So not worth it.”

“Much more money than it should be - I pay more for my cat's health insurance than I do for my own - but despite that, PetsBest has been awesome. They have allowed me to keep my kitties healthy and happy until age 19. It's worth the peace of mind to never have to worry about the cost of care. I'd never go without it. But to the company, charge less!! Your rates are insane for older pets. (You are clearly raking in the dough!)”

“Fantastic company! I LOVE Pets Best! My dog was diagnosed with an illness that needs costly meds every month and injections every 5-6 weeks. Whenever I submit my paid invoices (which is fast and easy to do), my reimbursement is quickly back in my account! Thank you Pets Best!!!”

“While they pay for most of the claims submitted (they pay very little for regular type things like vaccines, wellness, and check-up etc), the increase in cost for a policy has skyrocketed each year and the cost is now astronomical. And while they say it has nothing to do with his claims I know some one else who is eexperiencing this, and both suspiciously correspond to diagnosis of an issue. Which is the whole point in getting pet insurance. They may rope you in with a reasonable rate in the beginning but BUYAER BEWARE, within a few short years that rate will more than double, then quadruple and so more. But then you are stuck and can't change insurance companies because of the pre-existing issues clause in a new policy. I did speak to them about this and thier suggestion was to reduce my coverage inorder to reduce my cost. We had another insurance company for our previous pet, with better overall coverage (wellness, etc) and did not experince the rate hikes. But when shopping for insurance the old company was more expensive initally, but we should have went with them.”

“Pets best should be renamed to Pets worst health insurance... i've spent hours on the phone with the representatives, have had to send Lab work and vet bills multiple time to the point where one veterinarian's office said they were no longer sending them reports because they sent them duplicate copies four times. In the end, after denied claims, a deductible, and then a co-pay, which I never knew about, I received $44 for thousands of dollars of bills. The co-pay was three times the amount I received. I don't understand the math since the policy was supposed to cover 80% after meeting the deductible. I decided to cancel the policy; you're better off putting money aside every month in a rainy day fund for your pet.”

“It just seems that most of our claims get minimal payment for maximum premiums. Overall, I’m not very sure it’s the right thing for us to do. Paying almost $800 a year, sometimes seems a little ridiculous. However, I am reluctant to cancel because the what if scares me more. Definitely has a strain on our budget, but our fur baby is worth it.”

“I racked up numerous invoices from my vet over a period of two weeks before finally losing my cat. I submitted the claims after every invoice I paid to the vet. Pets Best reviewed every claim within just a couple of days and approved almost everything. Only one item on one invoice did I have a query on, and by the time I called customer service to ask, they had already found the mistake and corrected it. I couldn’t be more satisfied with this company and I’ll definitely be using them again for my next pet.”
