Easy submission process although the reimbursement time was long

Reimbursement has been as expected. Make sure your dog’s name and paid in full is on your claim. Currently, it is taking over a month to process claims. I had to contact the company after first claim, which was late last year. I was on hold for over 30 minutes 2 times. No response to email. Sent a message through Facebook page. First response said there was nothing they could do ( my dog’s name was not on receipt). I waited a couple days and sent inquiry again. That person was extremely helpful and I was able to get claim processed. She contacted my vet’s office. 3 stars below for rating customer service because first representative was basically unwilling to try to help me. Second contact was extremely helpful. Seems to be some inconsistency in training their employees.

Submitting claims is easy, once they get your records straight. That was a bit of a hassle for me, but the fault was shared between Pets Best's records department and my own vet's office. Two claims were rejected due to glaringly obvious mistakes, but one of the rejections was a direct result of the back-and-forth over vet's records. It was annoying to have to appeal them, but the appeal process was also easy. It didn't matter that months had passed since I had received the original decisions before I could get to filling out the forms. The form was simple, the process was not dragged out, and the appeal decision came back (in my favor) less than a week later. Calling into customer support can sometimes be time-consuming: over half an hour just on hold once, though the second time was a little faster. The support staff seemed a bit harried but not rude. I thought the customer support staff that I had spoken to would forget me and move on, but a few days later I got a call from the same staffer to let me know that they had emailed an appeal form to me. I appreciated the fact that they kept track of my problem even after I thought the interaction had ended. If they keep up the good things I've experienced now that the vet records are sorted out, I can definitely see my rating going up to 5 stars.

Well I never died a claim on pet insurance so I don't have anything to compare you against but this insurance seems fine by me.

I don't have anything to compare to since last year was my first year with pet insurance. They do take quite a while to pay you, but that's ok. What I was surprised about was my 30% increase in my pets premium for next year. From a puppy to a 13 month old dog...I may be cancelling or increasing my deductible from $500 to $1000....weighing my options.

All services were paid as expected in a timely manner. The cost is high not sure if it will be affordable in the future.

Filing a claim is easy as can be, just upload your complete bill from the vet, and they take it from there. The only problem I have is the length of time it takes for the claim to be closed. It usually takes about a month. Do not let that be a deterrent though as just about everything is covered.

The process is super easy and I love the plan I have for my dog. Processing the claims takes a little longer than I would hope but I still would highly recommend.

Very easy to submit a claim, attach documents etc. Hassle-free payouts as well. Very slow, however. Each claim takes over a month to be processed.

Great service! It is better to communicate via email or on line. If you call you are put on hold for a long time. I haven’t been able to get through this past year.

I have had Pets Best since 2018 when we adopted our furbaby. The few claims we have submitted have been handled promptly. I have a $500 deductible so I have not had much of a reimbursement.
