“Pets Best used to be a very good pet insurance company, however, lately they are slow and unavailable to the pet parent. Claims are stacking up and claims that used to be approved without issue are now being questioned and payment delayed. I would strongly suggest that pet parents open a savings account and put money in it every month for future vet bills. Money saved can be used for teeth cleanings and other health oriented necessities in addition to visits to the vet. I have a 12 and 14 year old dog and if I had a puppy now, that's what I would do. But for me, it's just too expensive to have a dog these days and pet insurance over the long haul just doesn't make sense. I'm paying almost $600 a month for insurance and it goes up each year for my two pets. Looking back, opening a savings account makes more sense to me”

“We recently adopted a 4-month-old puppy and wanted the perfect insurance that would cover both wellness and illness. After doing some research, we decided to go with Pets Best Insurance, and I’m so glad we did! We’ve only had the policy for just over a week and have already submitted a few claims — one for our puppy’s first vet visit and another for medication for parasites. The process was incredibly easy, and we already received confirmation of our payout. Everything was handled quickly and clearly, with no confusion at all. The website is straightforward and user-friendly, which made submitting claims and checking updates a breeze. So far, I’m extremely happy with our choice to go with Pets Best and feel confident knowing our pup is well covered!”

“The insurance is not bad, but what makes me crazy is the fact that it took you three weeks to fill this claim, and now it's another week before you pay. So, we're looking at a month before you pay for this claim, and to me, that's just unacceptable. You also denied Chlorhexidine, stating that you don't cover supplement or vitamins and some other nonsense, the fact of the matter is it was given to me to clean Logan's wound twice daily because he had a gaping 1-inch hole in his body, and this would help prevent an infection.”

“Not sure I can write a 'short' review. I'm a bit upset that these pet ins. companies, Pets Best included, don't take into consideration the pet is still in good health regardless of their age. With that said, I had to drop 2 IMPORTANT things from my pets policy in order to afford the monthly premium. I think it's terrible ALL these ins companies make it so damn hard for us to keep our pets insured especially with vet prices, which are out of control too.”

“Our experience with Pet Best has not been positive at all. Here are just a few reasons. The time it takes for decision on if they will reimburse anything is typically a month… they aren’t quick at all. However, the time it takes for them to decline an appeal is astonishingly quick! They are truly an “insurance company”. Also, their app never works and now they’ve come up with some verification method for their online portal that even after you verify yourself, you are unable to log into the website from an unrecognized device. Every thing about Pets Best is maddening. If you’re a consumer reading this review, our dog’s oncology office (which PB has declined any help towards making me now familiar with their appeal process) highly recommends Trupanion - says that they are pleasant to work with and their turnaround time is extremely quick. I can’t make claims for them as a customer but will be definitely looking into them for any future fur-babies.”

“In June of 2023 my westie, Bella was diagnosed with TCC bladder cancer. She was treated for the bladder cancer for 27 months. She recieved treatments every 3 to 4 weeks. Pets Best allowed me to financially provide her with the best treatment possible. She lost the battle September 26th. I am very thankful I had Pets Best to support our effort to help maintain a quality of life for as much time as possible. Her lose leaves an emptiness in my heart.”

“Prices go up hundreds of dollars a year ($637 last year to $967 this year) and while I did not choose wellness coverage , they do not cover illness exams. My dog has an issue that needs follow up visits and they are not covered because it is an “exam”. Would not recommend and I’m sorry that I have them because I can’t change now.”

“I joined this Co because everyone that I spoke to, said , everything goes through quickly not much wait time ,etc... And I have to say, I am a little surprised that every one that I submitted has taken a very long time... And actually there is either 1 or 2 that still says processing... and they were submitted before this last one that did go through... We will see how it goes....”
