“So far very happy with the coverage. Claims have been processed quickly, transparently, and based on my understanding of my benefits--accurately. My latest coverage determination matched my math entirely, the only difference being I had not excluded the OSHA Fee.”

“I have tried several pet insurance companies and, so far, I feel that Pet's Best has handled things the best. I do pay for almost the highest in close plan and lowest deductible, but they seem to be reimbursing me fairly as long as my vet approves it. I heard that the only insurance that would consistently approve things as long as your vet approved it was Trupanion - but I don't like their structure. (They use a complex system that makes it hard to decide what might happen in the future in terms of your pet's illnesses.)”

“5/10/25 - First time submission since I chose Pets Best. Timeliness was a big issue. Submitted original claim, told it was unreadable and consequently mailed out documents. Called every week as there was no action. Was told it took 3 weeks to receive and process to my account. Waited 3 weeks only to find out my claim was closed. Submitted claim again and waited for my vet to submit more documents. Finally claim was processed and my payment. Never had this issue with timeliness with my previous pet insurance. “You dont cover anything! this is a racket and a waste of money! Spend it on you pets! not insurance that pays for nothing. You need to authorize more expensive proceedures prior to the surgery. This way no one will be surprised when they think you are going to cover 90% when infact you DO NOT! You should be in jail for fraud!”

“Our dog has gotten himself into lots of trouble - broken bones, digestive issues from eating things, parasites, you name it. We have spent thousands on his medical bills for his accidents. A fraction of our payments have been recovered via pets best. However, their annual fees are so incredibly high, it hasn’t yet paid off for us. When speaking with a pets best representative this year about whether to continue our policy, she suggested that if we didn’t continue our plan, our dog’s prior accidents (broken bones, stitches, digestive issues, etc) would be considered preexisting conditions in any future plan. Absolutely unbelievable and such a scummy way to run a business. I would definitely shop around. I have no loyalty to this company after 4+ years.”
