“I love Pets Best … and all of my pets have been insured by them since 2002. Their coverage is vast, and my claims are responded to in a very timely manner. “I did a considerable amount of research on pet insurance. We went with Pets Best because it had the most coverage and most simple way to file a claim. The price point is also really good. My dog had an upset tummy and diarrhea a few weeks ago. It would have cost us close to $1000 for just the one simple trip. We ended up paying not even a third of that with the $250 deductible and 10% copay. It literally pays for itself. I know a lot of people would pay ANYTHING to keep their pets healthy and safe, but not everyone can do that. This insurance will save you the heartache to have to make such a heavy decision. What does insurance sell? Peace of mind.”

“Pest Best is easy to use. Like all insurance it can be a little expensive but well worth it if something does go wrong with pet. My recommendation is to go with lowest deductible and highest % back you can afford. You may never use it BUT if an accident or illness happens you will be glad you have it.”

“Had a pretty solid experience with my first claim. Took some time getting the right medical records and that process could have been a bit more clear, but once we got the right info the review and outcome were great. Also appreciate the pursuits of innovative pet insurance strategies (e.g., partnership with Care Credit). A streamlined vet pay option a la Trupanion would be the one feature I would love to see.”

“Ive been with pets best for little over 10 years for my dog. The last 2 years, the response time has greatly increased. It seems like it take over 1 month to review all calims. Ive had incidences when it is almost 2 months making it frustrating to have to wait that long. I recall years ago it was reviewed and reimbursed in 1-2wks period.”

“Inconsistent service as far as the amount of time claims are processed. When there is a problem, it is almost impossible to reach anyone by phone. Cost for premiums have doubled for next year.”
