Overall I am satisfied to have received money back for a very expensive pet bill, however the waiting time took 45 days and cost me quite a bit in terms of not being able to pay off my credit card. Wish I was told it would be a 45 day wait up front instead it said 7-10 business days. Time to start saving for my emergency fund so this doesn't happen again!

Payment takes way too long. They need to change their description from 3-4 days to up to 2 months!

The CSR's are extremely friendly and helpful but it has taken a very long time for claims to be reviewed, processed and refunded.

Claims take a long time to pay out. It took 3 weeks to be reimbursed for a very basic vet visit.

I was somewhat disappointed at the coverage. Less than have of the prescription for the dog and none of the medical bills for either dog. Well I guess you get what you pay for. Discounted coverage coverage at a deep discount

I feel a sense of security with this insurance and love the option to have a wellness plan. However it can take up to two months for claims to go through.

It seems items submitted in the past were covered but not this time. I am not convinced that having this insurance is cost effective.

The only complaint I have is it takes too long to get reimbursed. I'm on a tight budget and would like to see processed with in 2 weeks as I was with nationwide before and they are very quick. I like the plan I'm on that's the only reason I haven't switched yet!!

Easy to get reimbursed, but reimbursement is much lower coverage then the cost of service.

Our wellness endorsements are a set schedule of benefits that are not subject to a deductible or co-pay. Each line item on the schedule is the maximum the policy will pay for that line item for your pet in a policy year. Unfortunately, if your pet is a puppy and requires multiple puppy visits for vaccinations and boosters, depending on what your veterinarian charges for their services, you may use up all your wellness benefits quickly. To keep the premium reasonable for our Policyholders, our wellness endorsements are not designed to fully cover all your wellness needs, but to assist you with the financial burden of your pet’s annual wellness care by providing some reimbursement of what you paid to your veterinarian for their services. I think I would be more apt to leave 4 stars or higher if the claims process did not take so long. The problem with the length of time it took is that you pay for the service yourself than have to wait 6-8 weeks to be reimbursed. This is why I got insurance and budget the payment every month, because I do not have $1000 + to pay at once. Yes, I can make it a week without worrying (which is what I was told when I signed up 3-5 days), but not almost 2 months. That makes life much more difficult.

So far, I'm a veterinarian and I've found this insurance confusing and time consuming to use. Payment is slow. Their communication is also very confusing at times.
