I really like the coverage and feel it’s great coverage for the cost, but I am highly disappointed in how long the claims are taking. 47 days for reimbursement on our dog’s dental. Our vet agreed to take payment directly from Pet’s Best, but I’m afraid they won’t in the future with these excessive turn around times.

Horrible claims process timeframes and complete lack of information given. Competitors are between 7-10 days for claims, they are 37-45 at PetsBest and it took 47 to get mine simply processed, and will still be another week before payment is processed. Ridiculous considering I provided all required documentation including vet records on day 1. It was covered but the process to get there was unacceptable.

Claims took a long time to get reimbursed done. Also even though the treatment was in 2021 a deductible applied for 2022

I’ve been waiting a very long time for reimbursement of a claim, 2 months now. I do love the unlimited maximum benefit and the covered vet office visits and prescriptions.

I don’t understand how my wellness part can already be used up when his policy just renewed for the year.

Hi, wellness is reimbursed based on your policy renewal date. Renewal is not every January, renewal is based on when you enroll. Your policy will renew 12 months from the enrollment date. If you need help with policy information, we recommend you contact customer care so they can go over your policy details. Have a good day.

I got my little dude insurance in the case something happens and I can't cover the cost. He fell off a stool and busted his nail so I took him in. The total bill was $550 so I submitted a claim. I was just reimbursed $120 after around 8 weeks. The turnaround time wasn't great but they covered what they said after my $250 deductible. Hopefully won't have to submit another claim anytime soon but if I do I hope the turnaround time is faster.

I still have an outstanding claim from 12/1/2021. As I pay $72 a month for pet insurance, I don’t think I should have to wait this long for reimbursement. I also have another claim from 12/23 that hasn’t been addressed.

I'd rather have it than have no insurance however they were hesitant to want to pay me because of the veterinarian spelled the name wrong on one of the invoices it was tough to get it corrected when really they could have just looked at the description of a dog the dog and seeing that it was the same dog off by one letter

I like pets best, the app, the website, but they are having trouble processing claims in a timely manner. Plus, I submitted a claim for my cat's yearly shots and because I got them a couple of days early, they did not pay the claim. I am wondering what I pay them for. I have been thinking of changing to another insurance, but I still have claims with Pet's Best.

I love this insurance but have one issue about timely payment. My pug needs an allergy shot once every 4 to 8 weeks. Everytime I file a claim, it is always delayed and the reason is "seeking more information". Why? It's an allergy shot, something she will probably have to have all her life. I'm sure my vet has indicated this in his documentation. I find it unusual that each claim I've submitted gets held up except the 3 initial claims for this situation where deductible was involved. I feel you can do better for this matter.

Reimbursement took about a week but the limitations on routine vaccines is simply too low. Puppies get vaccinated every three weeks and Pets Best only covers $40 - one vaccine depending in the type. I am still considering if I should shop around.

Had the insurance for approximate 5+ years and with the $500 deductible did not find it valueable. The cost of the insurance become more expense each year

Let insurance is important to us. We have a very active dog and she travels everywhere with us. So when an accident happened it was important to have insurance. However, our claim took way longer than expected to be processed/reimbursed.

Pearl was a wonderful customer service representstive that went a above and beyond when i spoke to her on the phone. Another customer service rep emailed. We satisfied our deductible this year for one of our dogs Sadie, however i am having an issue with a November claim that should have been reimbursed. Not very happy with this.

The length of time to receive the reimbursement was longer than I expected. It took over a month, hopefully there was a reason for it and it isn't how future claims are done.
