The period for waiting the claims to be approved too long ! Almost 2 months.

It took almost a month to get reimbursed and then I don’t believe they sent me the correct amount. Out of a $300 vet bill , they paid $15. It was my understanding it would be 80% reimbursement for a sick pet whose condition was not pre existing.

So far it’s been fine. I still have two claims from early November that need to be addressed which is somewhat annoying. Otherwise, the other claims have worked out fine.

I would give a review with 5 stars had it not been one month for a claim to be processed. Agents were easily contacted by phone but all were apologetic on the length of the claim process. The agents were very nice and helpful. But customers don't want to hear excuses, they want results. My last insurance company paid claims within 3 to 5 days.

My first claim was processed very fast, within days I had a reimbursement. After that, claims took a long time. Only a small percentage of the bill goes to the deductible, so basically my pet has to be sick many times in order to get covered. My plan includes 3-4 vaccines a year and I don’t like the fact that boosters are counted as an extra vaccine. My pet needed 2 vaccines with boosters 2 weeks apart and there went the 4 vaccines covered. Customer service takes a long time to answer the phone and emails. The good thing is the 24/7 vet line which is very convenient and helpful.

For the most part, they can be counted on to provide reimbursement for things that should be covered. However, I almost always have to resubmit claims after making minor changes because they were rejected for an arguably silly reason the first time around. Processing time is also not great - I often get emails saying "sorry it's taking so long." On the other hand, I did once get a claim processed in a matter of a few days (only once). I also wish I was able to change the %reimbursement to a higher number as part of my renewal, but the user portal did not offer that option (though it is offered to me if I sign on a new pet to the policy). Overall, you will get your claims processed and paid for but it may be a bit painful in the process.

It seems a lot of things do not get covered when submitting claims. Say over amount allowed when sending bill from vet. We pay a lot to cover pets not sure I will renew policy next year.

I was shocked to find out that anesthesia for a spay procedure was not covered. It's not like it's an option during a surgical procedure. Makes me wonder what your idea of "wellness" really is. A spay procedure isn't just to avoid puppies, it's also for the dog's health!

Hi, anesthesia is covered as part of the max benefit limit for the spay of $150. Insurance is meant to help you with the unexpected, broken bones, urinary blockages or cancer. Wellness is not insurance, its a benefit meant to help you offset the cost of what you would be spending whether you have insurance or not, so its not going to pay your full bill for these wellness visits.

I disagree with the coverage in the Policy. The copay and deductable should not be deducted both until you reach to max deductible per policy.

Hi, we do not offer 100% coverage, therefore, you will have a copay to meet on all your medical bills before and after you meet your deductible. Have a good day!

So far it’s a long waiting period for reimbursement. Thats not what it said when I joined. That’s not acceptable.

First claim took a long time to be reviewed and paid. About 8 weeks total. Hopefully this will be better in the future.

I mailed in claims for our little Daisy. The agent didn't say that they needed ALL of Daisy's Vet history before processing claims, I would have sent with the first claim. Got an email saying they had contacted our Vet for a health history of Daisy. I just happened to have a Vet appointment and ask if they had been contacted by PetsBest for health history, They had not been contacted. Hmmm. No check yet. I'm not very happy with this insurance. I did get an email of EOB, but no check.

The claim process took ENTIRELY too long ! And I was given no updates along the way . With that being said, I was satisfied with the payout .

Decent coverage for my pet, the terms of the coverage could be clearer in the documents and the biggest detractor is the very long turn around times for claim decisions and reimbursements.
