I got a Pets Best insurance policy on my perfectly healthy, well bred 16 week old puppy and thought it was probably frivolous or being overly cautious. Then at 9 months old, he got an infection in his leg, spent weeks in veterinary ICU, and needed his left rear leg amputated. Had I not had the Pets Best policy on him, I would have had to put him down. It was only because I knew I'd be reimbursed 80% that I was able to afford to save his life. I had only paid a couple hundred in premiums to Pets Best at that point, but they covered 80% of his over $25,000 bill. They didn't raise his premiums because of our huge claim, and because I had chosen the additional features of the plan, they also covered 80% of his physical therapy and rehab with a specialist vet. I tell people all the time about how amazing Pets Best is because I wouldn't have Winston without them.

The first 3 years I was a customer of Pets Best, I sang your praises often and loudly. Something happened in the last two years that has changed. Pets Best app is not working more than it works, the wait time to speak to someone in customer service went from 5-10 minutes to 30-45 minutes. The latest complaint is that my premium rose considerably. Mainly though the app never working and the excessive wait time to be able to speak to customer service are the biggest problems. Please, hire a tech person to get the app working!! One cost for long term solution and happy customers!

Pets Best has been a lifesaver for us after rescuing a small dog with severe allergies. They pay our claims quickly and efficiently. Id never own another dog without it.

It takes much too long to review claims. I feel they should be done quickly since my automatic premiums are taken out very quickly every month and there is no waiting on PetsBest part.

They seem to be paying out less and less every year. My bill was $880 only covered me $250 vet bill. Will be canceling.

I highly recommend Pets Best. Their computer system was being updated so you had to email your invoice from the veterinarian via email for the past few weeks. But now it is working again so you just have to take a picture of the bill and submit it through their website. You are usually reimbursed in a timely manner. The coverage is great and for a fair premium.

Pets Best has done amazing job at handling and reimbursing claims. No complaints there. I will say that the premiums are skyrocketing each year, as they seem to be with all pet insurance companies. And we will eventually hit a point where we will need to cancel because of that, which stinks, but maybe is unavoidable.

The app did not work for over a month; even trying to get a claim submitted I had to wait over a month so that they could work on their website. No explanation or warnings from anyone at Pets Best. UNACCEPTABLE!! But yet I have to continue to pay the monthly premium!

I have a healthy five yr old Aussiedoodle who suddenly needed emergency vet care. It’s the first time I have used his insurance, even thou it’s been in place since he was a pup. I had a bit of difficulty filing my claim, due to site maintenance, but once I completed the submission and uploaded docs, the process was smooth and the reimbursement came fairly quickly. Great coverage and nice to know it’s there if needed again. Thanks for your support!

Call me. I'm really shocked after being with you 12 years. And now having a dog. With insurance is the most one can buy 90% coverage etc. The half of $35 bill only get covered by $60. I'm kind of upset

My dog was very sick with pneumonia. He was hospitalized for 8 days in the end of October in 3 different hospitals, as they felt he needed specialized care. Pet's Best Website is being worked on but they reimbursed me for a few claims, but still waiting on two of the larger ones. They are still within their time frame and very helpful when i call. It was a Godsend to have pet insurance!

Your new system install caused all kinds of delays and frustration. Also I have to wait for a log on email EVERY time I sign in even though I have ONLY ever signed on with ONE device, my cell phone.

That’s best is easy to use. The online/app is a great way for customers to file claims in view claim updates. The review is typically very quick. We have been Pets Best customers for years. As my dog gets older, coverage is even more important.

We had coverage for the last three years. Any claims that we made haven't been paid. The most recent one only paid very little. Between the deductibles and now co-pays a $500 claim resulted in a payment of $86. We won't be renewing. Might just as well save the premium and self insure.

It’s very wrong that Pets Best takes every loophole it can to raise premiums and provide minimal reimbursement. Wish therr oh not at all.

Even during a catastrophic technical failure, Pet’s best got my claim, reviewed it and paid it. I was amazed and very grateful as always for their very prompt, courteous, and good service.
