I have used Pets Best Pet Insurance for over 5 years now. I have been very pleased with the communication and response time for reimbursement from Pets Best. There were only several times when I had to wait for the explanation of benefits along with their response to claims. Great insurance company.

My interaction with all of the customer service representatives has been awesome! The issue I had was with claims, as I had to call a couple of times to explain that Pets Best already had all records, and that the claim I submitted was for a one time visit, and so Pets Best had that, along with her previous records from her regular vet already. And then, in an email, it made it seem like since my initial claim was closed that I could make a new one, and attach the records, and it would be expedited. However, that did not seem to be, as the customer service representative said I should have just emailed and explained the records belonged to the closed claim. Either way, it did not go faster, as it was stuck on waiting for medical records for quite awhile. I am appreciative that it was eventually processed and approved, and I will be receiving a refund. However my claim was initially submitted July 31st, and then again mid August, and then processed and approved September 10th. While overall the turn around time was not too bad, I think it was just concerning that I had to keep calling to explain that no other records would be collected/sent, that Pets Best already has all records possible. Oh, another thing... It would be nice to be able to use the Chat feature. Every time I try, it tells me to call in, that no representatives are available to chat. I have had Pets Best since April, and this is the message I receive every time. Thank you everyone for your kindness though!

I was always skeptical of having pet insurance, but I decided to join Pets Best a little over five years ago. It was the best choice I ever made. My dog recently had a life-saving surgery. It was super stressful, and there were quite a few vet visits to decide what route we were going to take. Ultimately, my decision was heavily based on the fact that I had pet insurance. We went through with the surgery, and it saved his life! And I feel so much more at ease knowing that it didn’t cost everything I had in savings. Claims are processed quickly, customer service is excellent, and any questions I had they were able to answer as needed. Highly recommend getting your pet insurance, and I highly recommend Pets Best for your fur babies.

I’ve been a customer for the last three years. While my payments are taken on time every month, it seems that the wait time to get claims processed is taking longer and longer. It would be helpful if claims were processed in a timely fashion. Other than that, I have no complaints.

I've had Pets Best insurance for several years. In the beginning, we rarely needed to use it because our dog was healthy. As she's gotten older, we've started submitting more claims for injuries and illnesses. Their app and claims submission system are user-friendly and efficient. We've never had issues with her claims, and reimbursements are typically processed quickly. I would have given five stars, but the claims processing timeline can be inconsistent. Some claims are processed within 48 hours, while others take up to a month, with no identifiable reason for the delay.

Pets Best has processed my claims without a hitch. Filing for insurance reimbursement can be a drawn-out, laborious process. Not with Pets Best. They make the process easy and respond positively. They also communicate well as the process proceeds. I am glad I have Pets Best insurance!

Very expensive, even with the bundle discount I get with my insurance company. Literally takes days to get a claim completed and EVERY time there are fees not paid on the Wellness Plan and the explanation is it has already been paid - this time it was a vaccine and it was OVER a year since the last one so it was "within the benefit year" and the other vaccines he had were covered. Wellness plan is not worth the price paid.

I like Pets Best but it is so expensive, and they take a while to refund you. And their co pay is high. I struggle with affording it. I am thankful when I do get some money back.

We've had Pets Best healeth insurance covering our French Bulldog since she was a pup, 6 years ago. Prior to last month, weve had only 1 claim for a surgery for a growth on her ear. Reimbursement (minus the deductible and co-pay) was paid in a very timely manner. Unfortunately, last month a large tumor was discovered that was affecting her breathing. The vet bills and hospital bills for a 3 night stay were sizable. The claims were processed and reimbursement was arranged, again, minus the deductible and co-pays, in a timely manner. If we would decide to get another dog, we would definitely have Pets Best insurance covering them.

Both my claims were denied stating they needed more information from my vet but did not state what information was needed so I could talk to my vet about it. I will most likely seek pet insurance from a different carrier.

I have been very pleased with Pets Best action on reimbursement. My only complaint is that sometimes there are time delays which are a bit frustrating.

Disappointing to pay $50 a month, almost double my deductible during one emergency visit and only receive a reimbursement of $30. I’d be better off putting that monthly premium in a savings account.

Purchasing pet insurance for my dog when she was young was the best thing I’ve ever done. She is now eight years old and has had a number of medical issues in the past year. Pet’s Best is typically very quick with reimbursements and we have definitely gotten our moneys worth, even with the increase in premiums that went into effect on July 1. They even reimbursed for a couple things I did not expect would be covered. Highly recommend!

I waited over 30 days to be reimbursed for medications my dog takes every month. I was told they were waiting for vet records, which has been on file for months. This same message happens every month and delays reimbursement.
