The ultimate test of pet insurance is fair and prompt responsivesness to a claim. All claims from my pets illness have been approved and payment issued. There were 4 claims related to our dog's illness. The first one Pets Best was very slow to approve, the following 3 were appoved promptly. The first claim may not have been entirely clear in it's purpose; it may have been made more clear when the other claims were submitted. I would recommend Pets Best and will purchase it again the next time I adopt. I never wanted to be in a position where I was making medical decisions based on ability to pay.

Has saved me a lot of money for our 2 dogs. Platform is easy to use and claims are easy to submit.

Insurance is outstanding! You are able to choose your deductible and amount of coverage for the year. This insurance also covers the initial exam for emergency visits which many companies do not. They will also deposit your money right into your checking account if you choose that option. Only complaint is they are very slow to pay. Sometimes it takes a month which makes it difficult to pay the credit card on which you have charged the visit or medication.

Very happy with our plan. Great communication. Mostly quick payments, if there’s delayed they always communicate reasoning and offer assistance.

Slow to process claims in comparison to other providers like Nationwide. I submitted a claim on January 4th and it took over 3 weeks to process. My other claims have had similar processing times. I used Nationwide the last few years for my older dog and the claims were usually processed within 5-7 days, which is a more reasonable turnaround time, especially for something simple. (P.s. I don't actually like Nationwide for other reasons, but I will give them credit where it's due). The policy isn't very expansive for the price and doesn't cover things that other policies do like PEMF. The price is also fairly expensive even for young dogs. When my other dog was this age just a few years ago I could get a similar policy for $40-$60. Now the price is $100+ for a young dog that regularly gets medical care and has great health. I can't imagine what I'll be paying when she turns 5-7. It's starting to make insurrance not even worth it.

Claims analysis takes way too long. Getting a firm letter regularly saying we apologize doesn’t help. Also the length of time from when you decide a claim and payment via direct bank account is too long. It’s not all bad : pricing is in line, coverage pretty good. App is good

There is no reason on earth why it should take a month to get reimbursed for a simple negative on an ear infection. Preposterous & unacceptable.

I have been extremely happy with Pets Best! One of my dogs had cancer and, without Pets Best, he probably would not have survived. I could not have afforded the treatments on my own. I like that I was able to choose a low deductible and high reimbursement. Yes, I pay more in premiums, but it has definitely been worth it! And, if there comes a time I CAN'T pay those premiums, Pets Best will allow me to adjust my deductible and the percentage of reimbursement so I CAN afford them!

Initially, I was impressed at by Pet's Best and happy with the service. Then, after paying out several claims for a medication, the company started denying claims for the same medication, saying it was not covered. I emailed the company more than a month ago, pointing out the inconsistency in their processing, and have not gotten a response. I have since sent a letter via US mail, but at this point, I'm not feeling optimistic given how they have ignored my emails. I also tried to call the number on the website and was told there was no one available to assist, and I called during business hours.

They're consistently late with payouts, and now the app is down regularly, making it impossible to submit claims.

They went over a month with their app system under maintenance and not answering phone calls. Every clam I file in past 6 months I receive a message weeks later saying they are reviewing the claim and apologize for the delay.

Have had a great experience with Pet's Best insurance from day one. They send emails promptly informing receipt of claim and apologizing for delay. Our recent claim took the longest at 3 weeks, but that's still a reasonable time.

I do love having pet insurance. The site is easy to use and navigate. The only issues I have are that sometimes there is a long delay in reviewing claims, I understand this might be related to my vets office not responding in time, but a couple of times my claims have been lost. Additionally, I have submitted claims on occassion that the reviewer looked at the dates submitted instead of service date which caused and issue with reimbursement related to my dedcuticle. Overal,l I am happy with the service.
