Pets Best Pet Health Insurance is wonderful! It is taken into consideration what procedures are followed as well as medications, and often pays approximately 80% back. Notifications are made regarding how much is paid out and what it is for, in advance.

I’m still waiting for my money for a refund of what I paid to my veterinarian. It’s been since December 30 so I think that’s a little bit too long. Really would like my money back.

I have been a customer for 8 years. Good customer service and claims process, but the yearly premium increases are excessive. My monthly cost went up about $20 per pet in one year, which is very hard to justify. Also, the website and app were down or unreliable for months, and we didn’t get an explanation until months later from the CEO, which is not acceptable for such a major issue. I’ve had to reduce coverage for my three cats because I can’t afford it anymore, and switching isn’t really an option due to pre-existing conditions. Good service, but pricing and communication are serious problems.

I am not very satisfied with Pets Best due to how long they take to process claims. It should not take an entire month to process a claim, especially when it is for the same medication my dog has been on consistently for his chronic condition, Cushing’s disease. What is frustrating is that every month, on the same day, they are very prompt in charging my premium, never late, (which is very expensive)but that same efficiency does not apply when it comes to reimbursing claims. Because of this ongoing delay, my overall experience has been disappointing.

Good policies, fair prices, though support when you need it is hard to obtain. My dog died and despite repeatedly emailing and calling them, Pets Best continued to take premiums that weren't due. If PB fixes the customer service side of their business, it would be an easy recommend. Difficult to do that when the time you need support most is when you don't get it.

I've been with Pets Best for several years. They cover what your policy states is covered and it's easy to submit claims. I was very happy with Pets Best the first few years I was with them but the last couple of years premuims have more than doubled and my cats aren't that old so I shutter to think what the coverage will cost when they are very old. Also the first few years getting phone support wasn't a problem but now not only are they charging more than double but I just called about a claim and wait time was stated to be 10 mins but in actuality it was 50 mins! 50 mins. to get to speak to rep is riduculous and this is not the first time the wait time has been extremtly long in fact it's more the norm. I will say once you get to speak with someone they are helpful. I do like access to phone Vet support for questions that is included with the policy.

I had to leave Healthy Paws after 10 years when they doubled my premiums. After researching alternatives, I landed on Pets Best, who offered truly apples-to-apples coverage for about half the cost. Not long after switching, my previously healthy 10-year-old pointer was rushed to the ER and diagnosed with PLE related to IBS and lymphangiectasia. Pets Best began paying claims within just a few months of coverage. Their customer service has been exceptional—claims are easy to upload, and communication is clear and efficient. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

The coverage I pay for is good. The amount of time it takes for them to process claims is way too long. And then to have to wait 7-10 more business days to receive payment. They are supposed to process claims in 10-25 days. They had no progress on one of my claims until day 26. The only way to reach customer service is to call. Email is not an option. I’m not impressed lately and am strongly considering switching.

I’ve been a customer for 7 years and recently filed my first claim. Unfortunately, the claims process has been extremely frustrating and inefficient—I've been asked to submit the same medical records multiple times, despite already providing them. Communication has felt repetitive and circular, and it’s taken far more time and effort than it should. I expected a smoother experience after years of paying into the policy, and I’m now considering switching providers.

I often have difficulty uploading documents and have to try several times over several days to get most documents uploaded. It is not easy to update claims. You ask for updates, and then it blocks me from doing an update. It does take a long time to get responses, and it is difficult to know what and when something has been approved and paid.

I love the ability to speak with a Vet Tech when my dog has an issue that may not be a problem worthy of a visit. The recommendations have been great. The claim process is very straightforward and the EOB is helpful to know how much of the deductible has been met and what is and isn't covered. I refer friends to Pets Best!
