I pay $55 a month for insurance. I recently submitted a claim for over $600. I received reimbursement of $38. I might as well not have had insurance.

Hi, my name is Allison and I was a part of the Pets Best family for a little over 4 years. I got my first dog, and my neighbor told me to get insurance, so I did my research and picked them. I got my perfect puppy and within the first 6 months he got bloat, I got the bill and immediately cried thinking I had to choose between my dog and that kind of money. I then remembered I had insurance which was a huge relief to me. From having bloat, my dog developed complications later on in life going into liver failure twice, and then at the age of 4 unfortunately passing in emergency surgery from liver torsion. I wouldn’t have been able to give my dog a great 4 years even though he had health complications if it wasn’t for Pets Best. They allowed me to get him the proper care, scans, blood work, and medical care needed to live his best life. He even had an allergist and nutritionist who was covered. So thank you to Pets Best for being by my side for the last 4 years and for giving my dog a life and hope, you are more than appreciative and thanked.

I really don't have an issue with Pets Best Insurance I just wish they paid 80% on wellness coverage also, I hate that my pet has to have a medical issue in order to be reimbursed 80%

I recently had to take my cat to the vet for a brand new medical issue, and my claim was denied due to it being a "pre-existing condition". Well it's not pre-existing because I've never taken my cat to the vet for anything like this before, so I'm not really sure on what grounds they have to deny the claim other than the caat had other health conditions before that 1% change "could" have contributed to this brand new issue. I would say if you get a brand new pet with no pre-existing conditions and put them on this health insurance right away, it would be worth it. But I'm finding the company will do anything to deny a claim by baselessly linking new issues to anything the pet has had in the past. I also have no clue why claims from over a month ago took so long, but then I submitted a new claim that got processed immediately (even before some of the claims from a month ago!)

So thankful for Pets Best. Recently my 1 year old kitty was diagnosed with Anaplasmosis with a super hefty veterinary bill. Just a month before she had a gastrointestinal issue which resulted in a vet visit as well. A $1K bill turned into $200 for me after reimbursement. Claims are always processed quickly and professionally! Having this insurance allows me to worry less when my pets are sick and need the proper veterinary care.

This is a really good insurance in terms of coverage. I’ve used this a few times and have gotten reimbursed without any hassles. However, sometimes they do take a little bit longer to reimburse you.
