“Pets Best pet health insurance may not be the cheapest, but you get the most for your money. They cover the most situations, for the most years, and are very responsive to claims filed. Even when one of my claims was denied, I filed an appeal with the backup documentation, and they reversed the denial. They are a very fair company and are very responsive!”

“So far so good. Easy to upload claims and communication on status of claims are acceptable. I just started with Pets Best and I’m pretty happy so far. I like that Wellness can be added to the plan.”

“Claims are approved within a reasonable period of time, though it seems that it is taking longer and longer. I am somewhat disappointed that they did not approve a claim for extracorporeal shock wave therapy, saying it was experimental despite having both surgeon and rehab doc state it was absolutely necessary to promote bone development because the hardware was stress-shielding the bone. They have however paid all other costs for a very severe and very expensive injury.”

“I went with pets best because it had reasonable premiums and offered 80% catastrophic coverage. However I also used the Wellness part and that paid a reasonable amount for routine physical examinations and vaccinations. Hopefully I'll never need the catastrophic, however treatment of pets has gotten extremely Expensive and I never want to make a choice between financial ruin and my loving Cattle Dog.”

“For the money, PetsBest rates right up there. I had Nationwide for years and their benefit payment plan for anything other than their premium plan was frustrating and paid a mere pittance. With PetsBest I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs covered 90% with a $250 deductible for the same cost as many of the other plans out there for just one dog. While PetsBest has greatly improved their claims processing from what it was during the height of Covid, anything other than something simple like a cytopoint injection or allergy medication seems to take nearly a month to process. And it's not that the claims are overly expensive or that unusual and if I do submit anything out of the norm, I ALWAYS include documentation with the initial filing. I can't imagine vets being willing to wait at least a month in many cases to be paid directly for services rendered that are something other than what a tech can do. So all in all, if you have the patience as well as the money, PetsBest is a really good program.”
