“On the positive side, PBI has excellent customer service, and although somewhat slow in paying claims, they are excellent at meeting their obligations. However, unless the policyholder is adept at detail, it is very difficult to track claims and that ability is mandatory to good outcomes. Overall, they are a very good company.”

“There’s seems to be a bit of a lag when the the claim is approved and reimbursement is direct deposited into bank account. It seems this could be fixed somehow with more immediate transfer of funds.”

“I signed my furbabies up with Pets Best Health Insurance earlier this year. So far, it has been wonderful. I filed a claim last month and have already been reimbursed for my dog's wellness exam. It was an easy transaction without any issues. So thumbs up so far.”

“Pets best has been a very good experience with us so far. We haven’t had any major issues with our cats yet warranting needing a lot of insurance but we still submit our claims towards our deductibles for the little things that happen with our cats and the way the system works seems great. Sometimes there is a delay in processing claims but it would appear they have humans reviewing each case which is also nice in the rising age of AI. So far so good!”

“Pet's Best was one of the best decisions I made for my aging dog. They are quick to process my claims, and have covered a good portion of his illness charges and medications. In retrospect, I would have bought this insurance for him when he was a puppy as it has eased the cost of his medical needs. This company has done what is promises.”

“I’ve been with Pets Best for three years now and they are very responsive to claims or they communicate when they can’t get to it in a timely manner. I’ve also appealed claims and I’ve been happy with how it turned out. The communications are always kind and professional. The only downside is that if you’ve had an illness claim within the past year, they don’t let you upgrade plans for more coverage the subsequent year. I’ve also noticed my premiums going up each year after having illness claims the previous year but they indicate it has no bearing on the increased cost and it’s due to pet age and overall claims cost from all clients. Generally I think it’s a worthwhile investment but at some point, I’ll have to decrease my coverage to keep it affordable each year.”
