I was told I only pay a Deductible but found out I had to pay a Deductible and Copay after I received the reimbursement balance. I asked during the claimant process about this matter beforehand and was told only a Deductible. I will definitely be findanither insurance company that is upfront and transparent!

Like any other ins company the rates have skyrocketed. But so far so good with pet best.

I have been paying annually for 7 years. When my dog developed a tumor and it came time to use my insurance, I keep getting "fine print" surprises about what was not covered / "errors" in not paying for covered benefits. Its disheartening as I have paid them thousands in premiums over the years. For example, I saw they called my dog's diagnostic cancer test "a special diet" and did not cover it. I had to appeal, a laborious process. They also denied a consultation with the oncologist as a "routine exam," despite specifically saying cancer care was a covered benefit on my plan. I would recommend avoiding this company.

Overall, I'm happy with the company. They are pretty good about processing claims and have not had any issues. However, our monthoy premium went from $43/month in 2023, to $68/month in 2024. Now they just told me it's going up to $93/month. This a 116% increase over 2 years which unjustifiable. Our dog is now only 5 years old. Seems like they don't want to insure her any longer and we moving to another provider is next to impossible becase none of them would cover anything that is "pre-existing", and our pet has had a few things over the years. We're now at the point of trying to figure out if insurance is even worth it, it's bad either way. When I first checked out this company, I got a quote for our pet at her current age (started at about $29/month as a 1 year old - and did go up, but only a few dollars each year), but I also wanted to see what it would be when she was 13. It showed it was about $130/month. Again she is only 5 now, but the cost is already $93. When she is 13, at this rate, it will be as expensive human insurance. Not happy with these giant increases with no justifiacation or legitimate reasoning. Corporate greed.

Had Pets Best for almost 5 years now and always raved about it and in fact have recommended it to numerous family/friends. My dog has an arthritic condition and has received monthly injections for over 4 years now. They have always been approved, but all of a sudden they have been rejected the last three months in a row. When I call, they approve it, but nobody has been able to tell me what I need to do differently to avoid this hassle. Most I’ve been told is they have a new AI system that is incorrectly rejecting it.

So far, so good! Just made my first claim on the Wellness plan, and they paid $111! All I had to do was upload the invoice from my vet, and they did the rest. It was really easy, and most importantly, they paid. :)

Excellent service! I took my kitten in for her initial wellness check and submitted a claim that evening. I received a notification that night that my claim had been received. 2 days later I received a notification that my claim was approved and the reimbursement had already been made into my bank account! Easy Peasy

First claim was rejected because our dog needed to see vet 2 day sooner that allowed (15 day wait). Dog had surgery and reimbursement was less than 2 weeks. Can’t give 5 stars since I never saw any mention for a 15 day period. Most likely in fine print. Overall I can recommend Pets Best Pet Health Insurance .

In most instances, claims are processed quickly. I only had one instance where it took weeks for the claim to be processed. Overall I am quite pleased with the insurance, however, I wish they paid out more for the claims. I rescued a puppy who had a "pre-existing" condition which is not covered. You would think rescuing a pup from a shelter would provide you with more coverage since they lived in horrid conditions making them susceptible to illness.

I had problems in the beginning but the customer service people were very nice. I had sent two claims but they only said they received one but when I got my accounting they had done both but didn’t record in it the receipt that I received. When I finally got the print out it showed both. I have 5 stars because of the customer service.

I have submitted my bills and corroborating documentation so many times now, I know what to scan and what the insurance wants. The most important piece of information I use is when she was first seen for this problem. Once I submit the information it is a relatively quick turnaround for an eon and then payment. I am very happy with this insurance since I acquired this insurance.
