“I chose pets best pet health insurance because of reviews I saw regarding them being great with rescue animals. I have taken my dog to the vet, a handful of times and have barely received any reimbursement on bills. I had to argue with them on one claim because they were not going to provide reimbursement due to lack of previous medical bills. I asked how am I supposed to provide previous medical bills if the dog is a rescue to which I got no response. I am not pleased with them and I’ve started looking at other potential pet health insurance carriers.”

“It appears to be better than the rest, however fete submitting a bill for my dogs spading, I don't know why they want to see payment/credit card info. Also I understand pre-existing conditions but after a year of coverage for a cough, shouldn't that no longer.be preexisting. Claim for vet visit was denied because the technician attended wile the dr. Supervised, I put in an appeal. Web site is quite easy to use and phone customer service is great.”

“Pets Best has been nothing short of amazing. My first two years of having insurance, I never even got to the deductible. That's ok I thought, because it is there if I need it. Then Christmas of 2024 came and one of my dogs was diagnosed with Metatstatic Mast Cell Tumors. He also had a 5cm mass on his spleen that the vets believed could be another form of cancer. He started multiple types of chemo and had his spleen removed completely. Pets Best has covered every single one of his visits, surgeries and chemo treatments. They have been a god send. Not to stop there, in January 2025 my other dog tore his ACL and had to have TPLO surgery. And then the plate got infected and he had to have the plate removed. Pets Best covered both of those surgeries. Two dogs with two very expensive illnesses and Pets Best has been with them every step of the way. I anxiously await the message that they are dropping my cancer dog because the costs are getting too high but they have yet to stop covering his treatment. They are extending the time I have with my pup and I will be greatly forever for that.”

“The first several years of being covered by Pets Best was great. No hassle, with fast and accurate claims processing. The past year or so has been exactly the opposite, unfortunately. We have to call about nearly every claim we submit, because they are processed incorrectly the first time around. They have also begun denying a few of our claims unreasonably. If we weren’t already locked in, we’d probably look for coverage with another company.”

“I have been with Pets Best for over 10 years. It has been great. I only give it 3 stars because for 1 cat and 1 dog I am paying over $6,000.00 a year. I am condisering dropping the insurance all togther at this crazy price.”
