“In researching claims, Pets Best folks look for ways around paying claims instead of working with the insured folks to pay claims. When reviewing claims the adjuster will see key words and associate them with past records and label them as preexisting conditions and deny the claim. Example, a new allergy treated with the same medication as prior preexisting condition, instead of performing a full review and investigation, the adjuster automatically deems this as preexisting and denies claim. This has occurred numerous times during my coverage period since 2022.”

“We haven't had the policies long enough for me to know if I should give Pets Best 5 stars, but so far we are happy with the policies we have purchased for our kitties. The claims are reviewed and paid quickly and it's easy to file a claim.”

“Have been very pleased that I acquired PetBest's insurance - my 9 year old beagle mix has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and has needed radiation treatments that thus far have been very successful; however the cost for treatment is extremely expensive. Without this insurance I would never have been able to afford her treatment. Thank you PetsBest for covering all expenses without haggling and affording me the pleasure of still having our beloved pet with us.”

“Disappointed that all Gracie’s vaccines were not covered. Her wellness check was 200.00 and all that was paid was 80.00. That isn’t even 50%”

“They have been good at paying but this year my policy went from about $600 to about $1200 not very happy about that. I don't mind an increase but that hurt”

“Pets Best has been a lifesaver throughout my dog’s cancer treatment. I submit a claims weekly, and they are always processed and paid quickly. It does not feel like they are trying their hardest to deny claims, like how it feels with some types of insurance. I definitely recommend them!”

“I had high hopes because a neighbor had spoke positively of Pets Best. Unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing. Although we opted for the "premium" policy with broader coverage, we've found that it covers very little and the "allowed amounts" for permissible services are a mere fraction of what we're paying OOP. It's been nearly a month and I'm still waiting to hear back on a claim I filled. I will be cancelling my policy ASAP.”

“We have used PetsBest insurance for two of our GSD and could not be more satisfied. Reimbursement for claims are timely, straightforward, and fair. Rates have been increasing, but no more than expected for the current cost of services. After a rattlesnake bite in our backyard, knowing we had PetsBest was a godsend.”

“I have read reviews about other pet insurance companies that don't help and are expensive. Having pets best insurance gives me peace of mind. I have had 4 German shepherds and been through 5 surgeries. (3 with pets best) I have made claims and although it may take a little while to process they always have come through. I have always had positive intentions with customer service. Accident insurance is more affordable than vet and emergency room bills.”

“My pet recently passed. Pets Best paid the claim quickly, canceled my policy automatically, and refunded my premiums for the dates after she had passed. They acknowledged her passing and were very kind.”
