They told me my bill was going to be sent to me since I paid my bill. However, it’s now going to my vet, which has already been paid.

Customer service nonresponsive. Zero response to multiple emails. Hour and a half on hold. No live chat feature. Inability to add an unlisted vet clinic on portal or app. Uploaded medical records not reviewed. 20-day wait to review and pay a claim. No appeal process. First month with the company. First claim. Surprised they're still in business. Yes. It's that bad.

I have never had to submit in claim in 3-/1/2 years, until recently. When I did, I called for assistance. The representative was very helpful but, told me I would receive a claim number in 3 to 5 days. Well, after a week, I called back, was on hold for 42 minutes and disconnected. Called again, on hold for 20 plus minutes and disconnected. Called again third time and was on hold for 20 plus minutes and finally got to speak with someone. She said they were behind processing and to call back in two days! Finally, after 10 days, the claims showed up as pending. I never received an email confirmation of a claim number until almost another week later when they denied one of the first claims. I have no issue with the denial, just the process. Then, after my original submission on December 1, on the 21st of December, I received another email indicating there is a delay in processing my claim(s). Suddenly, two or three days later, the claims are resolved, except one. My pet is removed from the policy since he passed away and I’m trying to review his claims but, was not aware I could just search from the claim button. I had been going to my pet’s name and viewing the claims from that location (I have two pets insured). Now, I have to call again, to find out how to view his claims information since he has been removed. Wouldn’t it have been easier to leave him on the policy until all of the claims were processed? Or, notify me how to view the claims since you were removing him. I had to call again, be on hold another 15 minutes only to be told how to access the claims on line. My pet has passed away. I don’t need this added stress just trying to get medical claims processed. The customer service folks are very nice but, there is clearly something wrong with your process or the information being given out is incorrect and the phone wait times are outrageous.

This is great insurance. I’ve never had a problem with them. If there ever was something that was disputed, they fixed it right away, and the repayments came on time. I highly recommend them.

The company itself has been good but their website never works so I have to call in and the call times are VERY LONG. I am happy with the refunds I've gotten on my claims and the turn around for both processing and payment is also very fast. The website issue and the customer service issues, is enough for me to consider changing companies though.

Last year it wouldve been 5 stars as I found Pets Best to be awesome. But something has changed, and TBH 3 stars is a little generous for my latest experience. It took them almost 3 months to process my claim. Initially their website was a problem - error messages every time I tried to upload receipts. I called and was told there were issues with the website so "snail-mailed" and emailed them. I heard nothing. Called again. They couldnt find either of them. Emailed them again. Called again. I was told they were "somewhere" but they hadnt made it to the person who processes them. They promised to make sure they got there. I think that person did what they promised because a month later I finally receievd the payment

This was my 2nd time filing a claim for my dog. Everything went as smoothly as the 1st claim. I purchased insurance because we adopted an older dog and may need help in the long run. Hope not, but better safe than sorry. From my own experience, I can highly recommend pets Best Pet Insurance. Thank you, Pam B

The way the calculations work, I haven’t found it to be worthwhile and am strongly considering cancelling. Even with some minor medical needs for my dogs they find bizarre and far-reaching reasons to deny items (even outside of the specified time period they are supposed to look back into) so it just seems disingenuous and not worth the cost. I’d rather just pay my vet than deal with all this every time. They’re also extremely slow as they look for ways to not cover what they should cover. Either find a better insurance or expect to need outside expertise to help with claims and pushing back on unfair denials.

My pup George had two surgeries for an obstructed small intestine. I submitted my claims almost daily over a three-week period. Pets Best reviewed and reimbursed me for my claims quickly and without any hassle. I was so worried about the cost of the vet bills, but Pets Best has covered most of the cost. I am so grateful that Pets Best has been so easy to work with and that I have a good policy.

Decent company, premiums are high and they take a REALLY long time to reimburse you for vet cost. Always a very long time!

I would give them a 5, but for a couple reasons I don’t. First reason is, the website and app are always offline or something wrong so I cannot submit a claim, but they get there monthly payment like clockwork. Also, claims and payment take long to get. I’m sure they all function this way.

Disappointed in raised rates just about every 6 months and without notice. I’m also on direct pay and it’s been 7 days minus Sunday, so 6, with no reimbursement yet.

It takes too long for claims to be processed but the deposits do get into the correct account.

They are amazing and always reimburse me. It may take a little time, but that does not matter to me. They are true to their word.

Website and portal are always down!! Impossible to get anyone on the phone unless you want to wait on hold over an hour.

Pets Best is greaat! Employees answer the phone and very pleasant. My only problem is sending in claims! I never get to finusih it for some reasons. I have to have the Vet send it for me.
