“Slow claims processing, and there always seems to be some reason why a claim is not payable or only partially payable. Customer service has been frinedly though.”

“I just got my new rates, my rates for two dogs just went up 70%!!!!’ And while looking at that I got an email saying you’ll pay my one claim, but it took you a month to process it. So yeah you don’t look so good right now and I would never refer you because my rates went up last year too so in 2 years my rates have doubled.”

“I bit the bullet and decided to insure both of our pups -- one when he was 6 years old, the other when he was 10 weeks. During the healthy years, it was tempting to feel like we were paying into a blackhole -- but then our older guy was diagnosed with cancer, then another cancer. Without PetsBest, we would not have had the ability to give him the fighting chance. It's not lost on me the privileged position we are in to be able to afford the co-pay for his cancer operations and treatments -- but without our PetsBest policy, we would have had to say our goodbyes long ago.”

“Had two sudden claims back to back, one requiring surgery. It did take about a month between documentation requirements and processing but they were approved and applied to deductible! Now to see how it looks when it renews…”

“I like Pet's Best and feel like it is worth purchasing for illness and injury but we found it is not cost effective to keep the wellness policy. Also they are clow about reimbursments.”

“I am very happy with Pets Best Health Insurance. It was very easy to submit a claim and they responded imidiately. It took just several days for the insurance company to process our claim and send us the Explanation of Benefits. Good job Pets Best!!!”

“not worth it. at best, they pay you less than $100 per claim (despite their site saying you can recoup 70-90% of the costs). Then you submit a claim for a pet who had to be put down and you get nothing covered because they'll tell you that it was "preexisting" even when it wasn't. I spend $X per month for coverage, $XX in regular wellness visits (and thank goodness my surviving cat is relatively healthy) and when necessary $XXX for a sick visit to only get something like $90 back. Based on my last visit, using their 70% model, I should have recouped about $230 but I certainly didn't get anywhere near that. At this point, we did the math and we are dropping coverage. I'll eat the $90 I get from Pets Best just to not have to deal with the BS they offer you when explaining their reasons for not covering.”

“This is my 1st pet insurance experience and so far so good. It is good knowing my pet has extensive coverage for emergencies that I know can be hard to cover. Only one caution, have your Veternarian administer all wellness shots and vaccines (technicians who administer these means they will not be covered).”
