The process was long but the time isn’t the issue, it was the fact that you can’t get ahold of anyone via phone or chat. However, the claim was paid out but I don’t really understand it but because you can’t get a hold of someone, I won’t have a clear understanding.

Phone call wait times and processing times are extremely long. Considering we are over a year into the pandemic, there isn’t much excuse for the long waits. My other 2 pet insurance policies (with 2 other carriers for different animals) are processing claims within 1-2 days. Pets best takes > 30 days to process claims, and most likely 6-8 weeks. What’s the hold up??

Happy with the coverage but the reimbursement time frames are triple some of the insurance companies I’ve worked with other pets

Takes too long for reimbursement, should have improved over last year and has not improved at all. Coverages you are paying for are not what they cover, I pay for 90% and only cover $15 on an item that I should have has covered by $90. Advertised items don't get covered like the policy indicates. Last year I will be using Pets Best due to this.

Initially, Pets Best quickly handled claims in a timely manner, however, this has changed dramatically, even prior to CoVid. The submitted claims are taking a very long time to process and it seems the coverage is not as extensive as it was in the beginning. I will be looking for another insurance carrier.

Very easy to sign up and very easy to file a claim and make other adjustments. Wish they had an app so I dont have to go back to my email to open the link. The claims also take forever, even though I signed up for direct deposit and they said it is same day for direct deposit.

Very friendly and claims are very easy to do either through the app or computer. However benefit payouts are rarely are less then three weeks. Also the wellness portion of their plan is very under covered in areas and also includes a once in a life moments.For example the wellness plan has yearly allotments for spay/neuter and microchipping...... Umm that only happens once. Furthermore it only includes $150 for teeth cleaning which that doesn't even remotely cover a cleaning. Over all I only use them because if their friendly ness and because my employment allows payroll deduction for them.

Insurance is meant to help you with the unexpected, broken bones, urinary blockages or cancer. Wellness is not insurance, its a benefit meant to help you offset the cost of what you would be spending whether you have insurance or not, so its not going to pay your full bill for these wellness visits.

Slow and difficult to get claims paid, even for routine care. Always wants additional info. However they are not as bad as some other pet insurance companies.

Seems the yearly benefits for wellness are not even close to acceptable for the money spent monthly

I really do not think I was paid enough for my claim for Schatzi. I thought all shots were covered. I think ASPCA covered more items.

The only complaint I have this far is that I sat on hold for an hour and 10 minutes waiting to speak to a customer service rep. You really need to hire more people.
