“My claims were done very quickly. However, a couple needed more attention. There was no information in the email or on the portal which claims they were! I had to call and speak with a representative who was able to find the details. CLIENTS NEED TO KNOW WHAT THE CLAIM IS FOR AND WHAT IS NEEDED! Can someone please upgrade your system so all this vital data isn't a secret????”

“I have insurance for eight cats with Pets Best and there's a good reason why; they make submitting claims for my cats very easy and the payments are received in a reasonable amount of time. Thank you for giving me the peace of mind that I'll be able to care for my pets if needed. I would advise people to get pet insurance while their pets are young. We didn't have it on our 2 year old cat who was then diagnosed with very expensive heart issues. Once we did get insurance for him, the pre-existing condition wasn't covered (which is normal with insurance). Don't make that mistake! Get it while they're kittens so you have the security of knowing that you'll be able to get your fur babies the care they deserve.”

“When my 8 lb puppy ate a chocolate muffin the size of her head, I had to rush her to the emergency vet and maxed out my credit card to cover her overnight care. Thankfully, submitting a claim was incredibly easy—and after my deductible, I was reimbursed for nearly all of my out-of-pocket costs. I'm so grateful. Thank you!”

“I receive what I subscribed to as far wellness and routine vaccines. But I feel I was very well treated when it came to non-routine incidents. My girl developed epilepsy after about 2 years. Earlier this year she had a cluster event which required a trip to the emergency vet and some follow-up afterwards. She also requires medication everyday. I was very happy with attention and claim handling and reimbursement. I will be renewing my coverage.”

“The good: easy submission of claims with quick claim review and direct payment to bank account The bad: your deductible is 120% of your chosen amount, because they only credit 80% of a paid bill towards your deductible, claiming the other 20% as a "co-pay" (even though the customer paid it). I have worked in human health care for 40+ years and have never seen an insurance company deduct a "co-pay" amount when calculating how much of the deductible has been met. The ugly: after 4 years of no claims, my premium this year doubled to $3,000 for one dog (I will own this as my mistake, as I did not check on the new premium before auto-renew occurred. It did not occur to me that the premium would increase by 100% - my bad)”

“I've had PetsBest for my two dogs (a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd Dog) for going on 8 years now. I'm a Licensed Veterinary Technician and even with my discount, pet care is VERY expensive! I've never had an issue with them covering my claims, as I understand my policy very well on what will and won't be covered. The only reason they aren't 5/5 stars for my review is the turnaround time for some claims takes 3 to 5 weeks to see money back. Prescriptions are covered within a week typically but diagnostics or a hospitalization claim has taken 4+ weeks. I also confess a star is taken off as each and every year my policy has gone up and up. I understand paying more because veterinary care is also going up and up, but some of the rate hikes have seemed extremely substantial considering they claim they do not charge more for pets issues. I know my dogs are getting older as well but a 58% rate increase this past year seems excessive, and I'm slightly scared for my February 2026 renewal at this rate.”

“When I look at what is covered and paid for with this insurance, I question if it is worth it. My vet charged about $700 for a wellness check, tests and vaccines. Insurance paid onlly $235. With the insurance price going up, I may just pay out of pocket.”
