“I have had the same pet insurance for the last 4 years supporting my our Chocolate Lab and German Shepherd. My Chocolate Lab is now 7.5 years old and has had hip and joint issues. He has had to have surgery on both legs, specifically the knees. To my surprise, Pets Best has a "Bilateral" section to where if there is an issue on one leg, they cover for insurance. If there was another issue one the other side leg, no matter how long in between occurances, insurance does not cover it due to the Bilateral clause. I do not agree with this and I think there should be room for negotiation to have the bilateral issues covered.”

“Waiting for a answer.....two of my dogs got the exact shots and received different amounts back on each dog when they were the exact shots for both 45 on one 30 on the other still waiting on answer after calling them immediately”

“We have had PetsBest pet Insurance since our little puppy was a puppy. She (Luna Marie) will be 10 yrs young in October and we still see her as a puppy. PetsBest has been there for our Luna. All we do is send in Vet Invoice and within a couple of weeks a reinbursement is in our acct.”

“I used to have 12 dogs covered on Pets Best, now I have 9 because my premiums are going up so much, I can no longer justify the cost. At this point, I will take my chances. Theses are marginal increases, these are huge increases for young dogs with no health issues. My Trupanion has gone up by a few dollars. Very disappointed in this company when it used to be a great company and very affordable.”

“Pets Best upholds their policy converse and is accurate and reliable in their reimbursements. I have two kitties on Pets Best insurance and both had issues in the same year with multiple visits to the vest and several claims. Pets Best covered all we pay our premiums and deductibles for with no difficulty. It’s a relief to have Pets Best for our fur babies care.”

“From 8/8/25 It's so strange that the more I send, the more pushback I get. CostCo Pharmacy cannot list Bear's name on receipt but Vet info does along with which the prescription is being filled. (2nd resubmit, I highlighted & drew arrows since all the info was on the photo copied vet & CostCo receipts.) Why what worked in past doesn't work now? Third time I've submitted, third time I have been told they need to be resubmitted. Soution: Since I just renewed my 2nd year membership with Pets Best in March 2025 for $416.+, I will continue submitting the Vet printout and CostCo receipt (& Bear's name handwritten) while I line up a more accommodating pet insurance.”

“They took forever to process my claim, they advertise that it’s 3 business days but it took almost a month so that is false advertisement. They barely covered my claim stating that some things didn’t meet the requirement so I’m considering going to a different company to insure my dog.”

“We have had Pets Best for several years now. Although premiums rise we have had options to adjust coverage to make it affordable for us. Keeping Pets Best has worked out fabulouly for us. My last claim was potentially confusing as it included multiple issues, however it was handled well and we were paid out fairly and totally for our coverage. Very pleased!”

“It takes too long to be refunded. They are timely to receive your payments, but inefficient to refund payments. I plan to change to a different company at the end of my term.”
